We've just booked a European river cruise for a couple in their 70s, a charter of an AMADEUS ship with Great Rail Journeys. We know it's 𝘩𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘵 outside right now here in the UK and the last thing you're probably thinking about is your next winter holiday, but we'll soon be entering the busiest period for ski bookings.

We just booked a 2025 ski trip for a small group celebrating a 30th birthday, consisting of four couples each flying from a different UK airport to St. Anton, Austria. We also sorted out their lift passes, ski carriage and equipment rental, but of course will continue to be their main point of contact between now and when they travel. It’s been 13 years since we went to Universal Orlando Resort together. I had been a few times before but it was Anthony’s first time.

We had an absolute blast, and can’t wait to go back! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade had not long opened at Islands of Adventure, and it has since expanded with Diagon Alley at Universal Studios, plus loads of new hotels and attractions, including one of the world’s best roller coasters, Velocicoaster. They’ve also added a water park Volcano Bay, and next year will be opening their third theme park, Epic Universe.

It’s so action-packed that you could definitely feel like you need another vacation to recover, so it’s important to build in some time for relaxation as well. With so much to do in Orlando, it’s definitely worth planning a minimum two-week holiday, as so many Brits do, with discounted tickets specifically designed for the UK market.

They flew to Ljubljana from London Gatwick with easyJet holidays last weekend for a four night city break. They shared some of their shots of the island which a rower took them over to see, plus the castle which you can access by road but they decided to walk up the 220 steps 😅

Last week, we met up with our clients Michael and Tracey in a local cafe to catch up on their recent holiday to America booked with us last year. As we work with clients across the UK, this is not always possible to meet face to face, but in their case we were able to do this on several occasions (at the same cafe), from the initial chat to discuss their desired experience, and then again after some research to present our proposed itinerary in partnership with one of our trusted suppliers, American Affair.

We had stayed in touch during their trip via WhatsApp, so I was with them every step of the way as they flew from London to Atlanta, Georgia; then after a two-night stay picked up their rental car to drive to Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; and Tallahassee, Florida; with a two-night stay in each place. Then it was on to St. Pete Beach for a four-night stay to relax and enjoy one of the top beaches in the United States, before a final two-nights in the lovely and lesser known Orlando neighbourhood of Winter Park, before flying back to the UK.

Hearing more about their experiences first-hand and seeing some of their photos really does make our job so rewarding, knowing that we had been able to create such a memorable trip for them. Michael was also kind enough to give us this 5 Star review on Trustpilot:
