So who watched the first episode of the new season of The White Lotus last night? We absolutely love this show, not least because of the gorgeous settings. Once again, a Four Seasons hotel stars as the fictional White Lotus resort, this time in exotic Thailand.

Back home now after a fantastic four nights in Finnish Lapland! Our adults-only trip included four excursions, including the Northern Lights Snowmobile Safari and Artic Ice Fishing by Snowmobile. We also added an optional Northern Lights Snowshoes excursion, but alas we did not see them as the weather conditions weren’t optimal. However, our clients Sarah and Dave who went here last week did see them on their very first night (see last photo - thanks for sharing!)

Overall, we had a great time, met some lovely people and would highly recommend this (or similar) Lapland package for adventurous couples, families and solo travellers. Now’s a great time to book for the 2025/2026 season, so please get in touch for available experiences and departures from your UK regional airport.

We’ve absolutely loved the first few days of our Lapland adventure above the Artic Circle. Our adults-only trip includes four different excursions, including the Three Borders Snowmobile Safari to the point where Finland, Sweden and Norway meet, along with the Sami Reindeer Experience where we learned more about the culture and herding practices of this nomadic people. Despite the extremely cold temperatures (it dropped below -20C!!) we’ve really enjoyed the outdoor activities but also coming back into the warmth of the gorgeous and cosy Hotel Rakka.

We were delighted to assist a couple who are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this summer and wanted to experience the magnificent Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
