Today we got taken to this bear sanctuary which does amazing work rescuing native brown bears from captivity in cages, zoos or the circus.
When they get released into the sanctuary, they have 69 hectares of forest, grassland and water holes to roam free around for the rest of their days 🐻🌲.
Every morning visitors can do a tour around a part of the sanctuary at feeding time when all 120 bears know to come to a particular area ....it's quite a sight!

This week I am on an educational trip experiencing what the region of Brașov in Romania has to offer as a destination 🇷🇴
Yesterday was our first full day and I'm already very taken with the place. As you can see the scenery in Brașov region is stunning!
In the winter months Poiana Brașov is a ski destination and in the spring/summer it's perfect for mountain biking, hiking and horse-riding.....and it's a great value option for this type of holiday too!

There's no better medicine than time away your girlfriends!

We laughed, we cried, we drank lots of rosé, ate delicious food, shopped the markets, lay in the sun, swam in the sea, walked through the vineyards and even crossed paths with a wild boar 🐗!

Today we went on a minibus tour of the areas around Whistler Village with Whistler Valley Tours....places that most visitors to the area probably don't even know exist! It was brilliant!

Our guide, Ryan, was very knowledgeable and the tour provided a really interesting & engaging way to learn more about the area, it's history and how the locals live.

These tours are the perfect way to see and learn a lot in a short amount of time - highly recommend (and don't forget I can pre-book your chosen excursions for you to guarantee your place as they get booked up quite far in advance in the busy months).

Today I got to try Ziplining with Ziptrek Ecotours Inc......a fantastic and exhilarating way to experience the Whistler/Blackcomb mountains and rainforest from a very unique perspective! 🌲🏔🌲

There are 3 tours available depending on the season & your preference. We did the Eagle tour which included 5 different ziplines back & forth between the 2 mountains as well as short hikes through the forest, along suspension bridges and up to the tree-top platforms.

Incredible views, lots of interesting information about the trees & animals that inhabit the area, from the very knowledgeable & friendly guides along the way.

Great fun and suitable for any age from 4yrs+ (under 8s go in tandem with one of the guides)
