A 4 day itinerary for England’s biggest and most visited national park - the Lake District aka The Lakes ✨Day 1: Windermere- take a boat cruise on England’s lake from Bowness on Windermere- visit the World of Beatrix Potter- Hike up Orrest Head- Drive up the scenic Kirkstone pass ✨Day 2: Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere- Wander round the Bridge House- Take a short walk to Stock Ghyll Force and grab a coffee with a view at Force cafe- See the magical waterfall at Rydal Grot- Visit St Mary’s Church, Rydal- Grab some famous Grasmere Gingerbread Accommodation day 1/2: Oakfold House (budget), Rothay Manor Hotel (luxury). ✨Day 3: Keswick and Dentwent Water- Walk alpacas at the Lingholm Estate with @alpacalyeverafter - Admire the lake from Friars Crag- Grab food at one of Keswick’s pubs- Hike Catbells ✨Day 4: Ullswater- take a steamboat ride on the lake - Visit Aire waterfalls- Sleep in a luxury shepherds hut at Another Place- Grab pizza at the Glasshouse- Go kayaking or paddleboarding Accommodation for day 3/4: @anotherplacehotels Transport wise, Stagecoach has an extensive bus network around the lakes but having a car will give you the most flexibility. What was it like travelling as a woman alone in Marrakesh, Morocco? I can only really talk from my own experience but I have to be honest: I had a wonderful time.Yes it might be super busy in the city but this is what I did to proactively avoid sticky situations👇🏾✨ I dressed very modestly. It shouldn’t be - I know - but you are much more likely to be harassed if you show skin as a woman✨ I avoided the craziest part of the medina market - this is the front part by Jamaa El Fnaa Square✨I booked guided tours in the city and private experiences out in the peace of the desert✨I actively avoided taxi men and booked any transport I needed through my hotels✨I didn’t go clubbing - I could easily get discriminated against and I’ve heard stories. I was back in my hotel by 8/9pm every night✨I completely ignored people trying to get me to buy their goods when I wasn’t interested. You can also just politely say “la shokran” meaning no thank you.✨I airtagged everything - the safes in the hotels in Marrakesh are tiny - I don’t know why ✨I researched the key scams - someone actually tried one on me so thank God I knew before hand!!!Want to travel with me?
