Frontier Travel Founder Sandra Potter is currently travelling across British Columbia, but she wanted to take a moment and send out a personal message and update regarding the tragic news from Jasper.

"Everyone will have seen the devastation that the fires have caused. We hear that the town and the surrounding roads will be closed for several weeks, and our hearts go out to the many friends we have in the area. Small glints of hope are to be found amongst the destinations that were gratefully spared, including the ski resort of Marmot Basin, which will be operating as usual next winter. While some of Jasper's hotels succumbed to this natural disaster, many have been saved and will be operating as normal.

There are so many appeals for financial aid from individuals who have lost everything, but if anyone wanted to help, we would recommend donating to the Canadian Red Cross 2024 Alberta Fires Appeal. Frontier Canada will also be making a donation to the same charitable organisation."
