Our tours to Umbria and Puglia are the perfect chance to sample local flavours, along with cooking demonstrations, olive oil and wine-tastings, and even some truffle hunting in Umbria, where we stay in the historic Trulli in the heart of UNESCO World Heritage site, Alberobello. Agatha Christie on the English Riviera
The Queen of murder mystery novels, Agatha Christie, set many of her novels in the English Summertime, with village fetes specifically mentioned in ‘The Mirror Crack’d’ and of course Dead Man’s Folly 🕵️
If your summertime reading has taken in one of them, you may be inspired to join us on our Agatha Christie Tour on The English Riviera tour this Autumn. This wonderful tour immerses itself in the life and times of the most famous mystery writer in literary history, the incomparable Agatha Christie. The tour is based at the Grand Hotel in Torquay, where Agatha Christie stayed on her wedding night as well as other haunts of our heroine and many other notables of her day. The highlight of the tour is a visit to Burgh Island for the day with lunch included.
