🔷We have been appointed to carry out repair works to the internal lime plaster at St Henry and St Elizabeth Church, Sheerness.

With the weather again getting colder we are lucky to have some internal jobs to carry out. Our scope of work involves the removal of blown plaster to the gable end and opening up to the crack running down the cornice. After inspection we found a large crack running through the brickwork which has now been filled with resin as per the structural engineers report. We have also carried out the initial scratch coat to the gable and cornice.

Once cured we will be back to continue with the work next week, applying the float coat. Keep your eyes peeled for future updates.

🔷The team have recently completed the restoration project to this property in Brockley.

Our work involved the complete repoint to the front elevation using natural earth pigments to achieve the desired colour from the client, with a flush finish. We also dismantled and partially rebuild the leaning chimney stack and refitted the pots, along with some intricate stone repairs.

🔷We have recently completed the internal lime plaster repairs to a small section of ceiling at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

We supplied and fitted new riven laths and carried out traditional 3 coat lime plaster.

🔷At the end of last year the team carried out the restoration to the Arch at St Micheal and all the angels church in Hartlip.

Our work involved removal of the previous cement capping, removing loose cement pointing and loose stonework. We then carried out deep pointing to the cracks in the stonework at the springing point, fitted a new stone to the voussoir, formed new lime capping and applied a shelter coat to the arch.

🔷After a great festive period the team are back working hard at various projects.

One of our new project this month was the repair to this internal lime plaster at the Victoria and Albert museum.

During redecorating the previous plaster fell from the ceiling, we have been tasked with fitting the new riven laths and carrying out traditional lime plaster. With the scratch coat now applied we will allow this to fully cure before applying the float coat. Stay tuned for further updates this month.

🔷After a great Christmas break the team are back working hard on a number of projects. We are currently back at All saints church in Woodchurch carrying out some internal lime plaster repairs but here is the external project we completed last year, carrying out cement banding removal, refitting of ragstone, repointing and the partial rebuild to a loose buttress.

🔷Our team was out in Lye Green yesterday fitting temporary props prior to our wider range of work to be carried out to this large property.

are supplying the new curved water weathered Sussex sandstone, along with a number of replacement bricks.

We will be back to site in early January (weather permitting) to continue with the project

🔷A few recent photos of one of our completed projects over the last few weeks at this beautiful property in Harlow.

The team carried out a full repoint using a traditional coarse lime mortar with a flush finish, we also replaced a number of defective bricks with reclaimed matching stocks.

🔷Our work to the Officers Steps at The Royal Chatham Dockyard are now complete.

The team was tasked with carrying out investigation works to the top 2 treads, this involved the carful lifting of the granite steps and setting them aside. We then carried out our investigation works and repairs followed by the steps being refitted along with a complete repoint to the entire staircase. We also dismantled the badly cracked and bowed area of brickwork, rebuilt the wall and carried out a lime render repair.

🔷Our skilled restorers have recently complete the tuck pointing to this property in Eltham. After seeing our work at a property nearby the client wanted the same finish ti her property.

We carefully removed the existing cement pointing, replaced damaged bricks and carried out a full tuck point to the facade, using traditional materials and methods.

🔷The team began work yesterday at Chatham Historic Dockyard, carrying out work to the officers steps.

Our work involves lifting the top 2 rows of granite treads, investigation works and then relaying the steps. The removal of cement mortar and repointing the entire steps and partially rebuilding the brick wall where movement has occurred.

🔷Another one of our ongoing projects. The team have been carrying out the restoration to this listed barn in Essex.

The outbuilding has been fully converted inside and our team of skilled craftsmen have been restoring the exterior brickwork. We have remove the existing defective mortar, replaced the worst damaged bricks to still leave the character to the building. Finally a full repoint in lime mortar with a flush finish.

🔷The team have recently completed the restoring to Hackney Evangelical Reformed church. Our work consisted of a full rake out to the main facade, over 100 isolated brick replacements and a full lime mortar repoint.

🔷We have been appointed to carry out the restoration and conservation to this stone arch at St Micheal and All Angels Church, Hartlip.

Our scope of work will involve removing sections of cement capping and renewing this with lime mortar. Localised grouting to stabilise the voussoirs and repointing at the springing point. We are looking forward to starting on this project over the next month.
