if you’re looking for a day trip out of Stockholm or Tallinn, Helsinki is just a short ferry ride away! 🇫🇮

🎟️ £17 return from Tallinn (hot tip my travel agent rates were cheaper than omio 😝)

Suomenlinna was so interesting to visit; it’s an 18th century sea-fortress that was used as protection against Russian expansionism. the bunkers that were used as protection are open for you to explore and walk through, which was kind of insane! you can visit the island for less then £4 return via ferry ⛴️

if you’re looking to visit Temppeliaukio Church, it’s €8 to enter. we were happy to explore the outside, and found that you could see enough of the church just by entering the foyer!

dinner at Noodle Story was insane, the serving sizes were huge - had enough to take some home! definitely a nice change up if you’re looking for a different cuisine other than Nordic food 🥰

also, the museum was FREE! nice little activity to do to learn a little more about Helsinki - perfect place for history lovers too 💓
