Just a Must was founded by producer Berislav Juraic and director Vanda Butkovic to introduce postdramatic theatre in translation to British and international audiences. The company’s work focuses on showcasing exciting authors who have generally been neglected in the British and international performing arts arena. The company also supports independent artists and other companies in the delivery
of arts and cultural projects at local and international level. The company has produced or co-produced international dance projects in North Africa, international tours to Middle East and Europe as well as several theatre and live art projects in the UK. Productions include the English language premiere of Sports Play by Elfriede Jelinek (UK tour/Chelsea Theatre), the UK premiere of Woman Bomb by Ivana Sajko at the Tristan Bates Theatre (2011) and first revival of Holy Mothers by Werner Schwab (Pleasance Theatre, 2009) as well as co-productions: DEFRAG_ by Tom Lyall (Camden People's Theatre, 2012), El-Harrag, a contemporary circus/dance show by REZ (Croatia) and Vent de Sable (Algeria) which toured in Europe and Middle East 2009-2010.
