Today's Monday scripture comes from Matthew 2:1-2:

"After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.’"

As the year draws to a close, Jo reminded us of the Magi’s humble and reverent journey to see Jesus. Their dedication and worship challenge us to reflect: do we approach the Presence of Jesus in our lives with the same awe and reverence?

This season, let's take a moment to thank Jesus—not only for the gift of salvation but for all He has done and continues to do in our lives.

How can we express our gratitude to Him as we reflect on the year gone by?

Today's Monday scripture was from Hebrews 11 📖

'Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see...'

Debi encouraged us this morning that although life’s challenges can leave us feeling far from hopeful - this verse reminds us that our hope is grounded in the faith of our unchanging God.

Hebrews 11 goes on to highlight incredible examples of faith—Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Sarah—who trusted in God’s promises even though they didn’t see them fully realized in their lifetimes (v13).

Living in the now and the not yet, God’s promises are certain but not yet fully revealed. Even so, we catch glimpses of His faithfulness, giving us every reason to hold onto hope and joy today.

Trust in His promises.

Our scripture from this Monday's bible reflection was: 𝟮 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟱:𝟭𝟳

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Our reflections:

𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩: This verse reminds us that through Christ, we are made new. Our past no longer defines us; God gives us a fresh start.

𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙡𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙: A new season invites us to let go of old fears, habits, or doubts that hinder our growth in faith.

𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙡: With each new season, God offers opportunities for transformation, shaping us more into His image.

𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙘𝙩: Ask yourself—what areas of your life need renewal? How can you align with God’s purpose in this season?

Step forward, trusting that with Christ, every season is filled with hope, purpose, and transformation.

Our scripture we discussed today was from Romans 12:3-9:

"For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully."

For better or worse, we are all created unique and in God's image. No one of us is any higher or lower in God's eyes and as it says in v5 "belong to all the others".

With the continued unjust division of mankind across the world, it's our duty to stand in the gap and fight for God's equality.

So, let's start the week with a reminder to use our gifts humbly and generously for the purpose of extending the Kingdom together, as different parts of one family!

The scripture we discussed this week was Psalm 42:11:

"Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God."

Upon reflecting on this passage, some of the team shared that life isn't always easy, but that God remains unchanged and is deserving of an offering of worship despite the feelings, emotions and circumstances we experience.

Jo, on the team said:

"I take great comfort in knowing that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I don't have to be rocked by my circumstances, because despite what I feel, I know He is good, unchanged and true. I can rest secure in that truth."
