The scripture we discussed this week was Psalm 42:11:

"Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God."

Upon reflecting on this passage, some of the team shared that life isn't always easy, but that God remains unchanged and is deserving of an offering of worship despite the feelings, emotions and circumstances we experience.

Jo, on the team said:

"I take great comfort in knowing that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. I don't have to be rocked by my circumstances, because despite what I feel, I know He is good, unchanged and true. I can rest secure in that truth."

Welcome, Simon & Mel!

We're thrilled to introduce our new chalet managers for the 24/25 ski season!

They write: “Bonjour a tous! We are Simon and Mel, and we will be your chalet managers this year in the beautiful Chalet de Neiges, along with our wonderful team of hosts. We had often talked about wanting to spend a season in the mountains, having skied since we were in school, then as a couple and then with our family. As we approached our 60th birthdays, the Lord made it clear to us that now was the time, so we applied to Richmond Holidays who we knew would provide the perfect opportunity to serve and grow in our faith whilst fulfilling this dream. We are so looking forward to meeting you and sharing fellowship and ministry with you as you enjoy your stay with us. See you in the mountains.”

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 - every Monday morning we take turns to bring a scripture, discuss what it means to us and how we can live it out throughout the week.

Today we had possibly one of the the most well known of the scriptures, Paul's description of Love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Popular for good reason.

We reflected on how every aspect of Love is active. We don't sit back hoping people receive our well meaning feelings, but instead show love through our choices and actions.

Also a reassuring reminder that God loves us in this way. He is patient. He is kind...
Thank you Lord for not recording our wrongs! 😅

Whether you spend a lot of time in the bible or not, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 is a powerful scripture revealing the completeness of Love. Have a blessed day everyone.

We welcomed the first of our 2024 guests to Madeira on Monday and today was the first of our Levada Walk excursions. Aren't these photos gorgeous?

Highlights from a day spent walking Levada do Rei at São Jorge (The King's Levada). Guests walked through the Laurel Forest, where some trees are 400 years old!

The pool provided a beautiful lunch spot and the group enjoyed fantastic sea views on their way to the walk - absolutely stunning! We can't wait to see more 🤩
