Have you heard of the mystical Raftsundet sound and Trollfjord?

Raftsundet is a very narrow sound stretching 25 kilometers between Austvågøy and Hinnøya. Here you will find the captivating Trollfjord, home to towering mountains.

On calm days, Hurtigruten ships can sail in to the tiny Trollfjord and almost brush the sides of the 328-foot-wide mouth of the fjord.

💡 Fun fact: Hurtigruten’s ship MS Trollfjord is named after this fjord.

ℹ️ Sailings into Trollfjord typically happen between May and October, and are weather dependent.

Ever wondered why auroras are often green? 💚 🌌

Green is the most common aurora colour, caused by charged particles colliding with oxygen molecules in Earth's atmosphere. Our eyes are particularly sensitive to green, making it easier to spot these stunning natural phenomena.

MS Trollfjord enjoyed this magical sighting just after departing from Tromsø earlier this month.

Here’s some facts about the Arctic fox:

❄️ There are 8 recognised subspecies of the Arctic fox
❄️ Their smaller size helps them conserve heat in arctic environments
❄️ Their fur colour can change between seasons to help them blend in with the environment
❄️ They ‘snow dive’ to catch their prey by jumping several feet in the air and nose diving into the snow
