As a specialised translator I am always striving to add extra care and literary quality to all my translations, offering a strong know-how in the translation field combined with a decade of experience in the contemporary arts industry. I have been there, interviewing artists and curators, smoothing press releases and writing passionate critical essays on exhibitions and art events. I know the flai
r and stylistic features expected by this field’s writing, as I have been an author and journalist myself. After obtaining my higher degree in Modern Languages, Literature and Arts at University of Milan in 2003, I worked for seven years as an art critic and journalist, writing for various Italy’s leading contemporary art magazines and international online journals. I became progressively more fascinated by Linguistics and Translation theories, deciding to pursue a professional career as a specialised translator. To accomplish this, I successfully completed a MA in Translation (awarded with distinction) and worked for two years at a London-based world-leading translation company, which provided me with a thorough understanding of the translation and localisation industries and markets, as well as a sound knowledge of CAT tools and DTP software. My passion for the arts goes from the Old Masters to the most contemporary artists and projects, and I am always up to date on the international art scene. If you need to translate a curator or artist’s interview, essay, biography; a press-release or your art gallery’s website… contact me for a quote and relax: you have just found the right translator!
