Finally back down to earth after a trip of a lifetime to South Africa.
We arrived in Cape Town for our 1st night where we stayed in The Lawhill Luxury apartments which is a 5 minute walk to the waterfront where there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars which of course we sampledโฆ ๐
We went on a fascinating tour around the coast of Cape Town.
On the second day we visited a couple of hotels just outside Cape Town and then travelled approximately 1 hour inland to the winelands and checked into the lovely Brookdale estate which was to be our home for the night. That evening we were treated to a wine tasting session followed by a delicious meal cooked by our own private chef where we sampled delicious local cuisine.
The following day we set off back to Cape Town airport to fly over to Port Elizabeth where we transferred to our home for the next 2 nights, The stunning Kariega Private Game Reserve. This family owned reserve is made up of which has 5 separate lodges plus the owners lodge which we were luckily upgraded to.
The next 2 nights & 3 days were amazing from start to finish. From the warm welcome at our lodge, the view from our private terrace to our first glimpses of the elephants, giraffes, lions, Rhinos and many many more animals.
During our stay at the lodge we experienced their All inclusive hospitality and had our own private chefs who again prepared amazing food throughout.
Our hosts invited us to experience a Boma night in one of the sister lodges were we enjoyed African food, a camp fire and African dancing.
During our stay in South Africa we ate in many amazing restaurants, tasted some fantastic wines and fizz.
This really was my once in a life time, bucket list trip and it certainly did not disappoint in any way โฆโฆ.. it was everything I imagined plus so much more.
Below are a few pictures to give you a taste of my African dream
