The cottage stands in the grounds of Monks Farm, on the outskirts of the village of North Cockerington. The cottage is all on one level with flush access through the front and french doors making it user friendly for all visitors. An area of hard standing is provided in the parking area and a small ramp can be supplied. The cottage welcomes children of all ages and well behaved dogs. The cottage o
verlooks the beautiful farmland of Lincolnshire and has had an interesting and varied past, as a working dairy, piggery and farmshop before being converted into a holiday cottage in the mid 1990’s. Since moving into Monks Farm in 2011, Sara and Jules have updated and modernised the property whilst retaining the rural and local feel. The property has been timber clad and painted in a soft green to respond to the rural setting, floor to ceiling windows and French doors in the lounge area open up the cottage to the countryside, decking providing a seating area to enjoy the views across the surrounding fields whilst the internal furnishings keep a cosy and friendly feel. The cottage is accessed directly from the decking, flush for easy access for all, and the cottage is all on one level. The front door opens into a small porch with space for coats, boots and hanging the dog lead! The modern bathroom has a walk in shower, plenty of space for towels and a cupboard for toiletries. The kitchen is fully equipped so the visitor can cook a Sunday Roast or simply bacon and eggs and Sara can happily lend as many or as few cook books as is required and the basics of milk, tea, eggs and bread will be there on arrival. Finally, the bedroom offers comfort and relaxation, modern and warm with fluffy towels, crisp bedding and simple décor.
