We are getting Blackberry cottage ready for a very busy season ahead. We only have a few dates available between now and September, so if you fancy a summer break do make sure you take a look asap.

Nothing better than having a space that is warm and sunny ☀️
The glass roof in the kitchen allows so much light into the space. The room is also south facing, so summer or winter Blackberry Cottage is warm and sunny (underfloor heating warms your toes too).

The downstairs loo! It’s only small but this room always fills me with joy. This picture from the summer shows the happiest of wallpaper and fabulous panelling.
We’ve squeezed in a washing machine and tumble dryer into this room under the stairs, so not only is it a tiny room it’s a well used one too!

This south facing spot allows the sun to stream in for most of the day and is a fabulous place to sit and enjoy coffee, read a book or relax with your fellow holiday buddies.
The old walled patio area you can glimpse though the bifold doors is what used to be an outside loo and was used by all the cottages in the row many moons ago!! The window in the wall is going to be turned into a pizza oven at some point this year! The garden beyond is fully enclosed lawn which is perfect for a kick around with the ball and perfectly safe for kids and dogs 🐾

There are so many fabulous images of homes and spaces being decorated for Christmas, I feel I’m a bit behind with Blackberry Cottage. We have pre Christmas guests arriving, so tomorrow I’ll be putting up the fairy lights and decorating the tree, but for now here’s a picture of the bathroom! It’s one of my favourite rooms in the cottage, the view from the walk-in shower across the valley is stunning, I also absolutely love the oak bench Lindsay made for the sink, and obviously it can’t be without an orchid (real btw… for now 😂)

We couldn’t be more delighted with the kitchen in Blackberry Cottage, guests love the space and we’ve had so much fabulous feedback regarding not only the space but also the functionality. I’m not sure I could ever design a kitchen now without a boiling water tap 🤣
Absolutely love the tiles from and will 100% use for future projects

Welcoming more guests for half-term at Blackberry Cottage 💕

We’re trying to decide on the stove for the sitting room, we have a gas supply ready so it won’t be an open fire but more of a small gas fire/stove. I have seen some fabulous ones that look like the real deal, but can’t make a decision… any recommendations gratefully accepted!
In the meantime we installed underfloor heating throughout the downstairs of the cottage, so although we are currently without a fire the cottage is always toasty warm and cosy 🔥

I think I changed my mind on this bathroom layout 100 times before I finally decided on this! The shower space is the size of a bath as the original plan was a shower over a bath… I think a large walk-in shower is far more practical and I am I love with the huge shower rose. It actually feels like you’re being rained on!

I hope our guests enjoy this little space as much as we enjoyed making it x
