We are delighted to bring you this jaw dropping line up for the first ever Manchester Made Me Funky on November 20th. 5 HUGE PA’s, the cream of Manchester’s DJ’s alongside sax and percussion players and a Rio Carnival!
Lose yourself in a musical wonderland of pageantry and imagination. Our breath-taking LED stage will feature live waterfalls, and a wild rainforest lowered canopy will cover the arena. Our performers will bring the show to life with the character of a true Rio carnival. Acrobats and ariel performers, fire performers, festival floats, parades, body painted dancers with glamorous costumes with spectacular feathered back and head pieces pieces, bongo players, stilt walkers, jugglers, and stunt artists.

Manchester Made Me Funky is doing something remarkable, it is not just reviving our scene but making it explode into a whole new era. We are not here to put on a run of the mill club night, we want to bring a Manumission style event to Manchester, and that is what we will do. This is the start of something BIG! The group is now over 6000 strong, it’s incredible and shows the passion of its members for the scene and the music we love.
This group proves without any doubt that there is still a huge demand for this scene and the quality funky house music which shaped our lives, and brought us together for more than a decade. It is very obvious you all want to do it all over again. Infact, it seems you don’t want to do it for one last time, but you want it back in your lives. The feel-good factor and the happiness spending time with like-minded people is something we all want and can all look forward to. Even if it is not on a weekly basis, a few times a year would be awesome, I think that is agreed by all, and the general consensus of the group, and that is what we will give to you.
There is no point at all in doing this half-hearted, and we have to think big with this if we are to reignite the fire. A club would not be big enough for a reunion if everyone attended, so we have picked a super venue with multiple areas, big enough to house the thousands who want to attend, and big enough to put on a grand showcase.
The line-up for the event is very important, but the production, décor, and performers will really make this a true funky house carnival of epic proportions. We will bring you Elrow style production that’s funky and classy. As you all know this event is a labour of love, it is not about money. That’s why its going to be so special, it comes from the heart.
We would also like to support a charity in doing this event, a lot of us have lost friends with mental health issues. I myself lost several due to this, I put up a post about my good friend Jordan King who was one of the most well-known faces on the scene, so I feel the perfect charity to support would be Mind mental health charity. Any profit that is left at the end of the event will be donated to this worthy cause, so by supporting us and buying your tickets, you will contribute to building the event and our scene again, but also this amazing charity.
To keep the crowd select there will be no pay on the day, it is a ticket only event. The main place this event is being advertised is in our private group, we have vetted everyone in the group so we know we will get the perfect crowd. On the day everyone that buys a ticket and attends will be issued with a Manchester Made Me Funky membership card, and the first people that attend and support the first event, are the ones that will have priority access and be able to attend our future events, as we will be making it a members only brand. Please dress to impress, no sportswear, smart trainers ok, no large logos, no attitude, just cool mother funkers!
Tickets are currently £25 and eventually will increase to £30, then £40. VIP tickets sold out in 90 minutes! For £25 this is sensational value, an event like this would normally be £50 plus. Afterparty tickets are on sale at the reduced rate of just £7.50.
Our promise is this, every bit of money we make will go back into the production of the event to make it as mind blowing as could possibly be imagined, and any profits left from the event will go to our nominated charity MIND.
