Name: Felipe Nicanor Reyes ( Salsa Cabana ) Age: 34 Of Chilean Parentage Based in Manchester
Felipe is Passionate about Salsa and having been dancing for over 7 years. He has gained experience in all styles of Salsa but his main passion is Colombian Style. Felipe started dancing in Copacabana and was later spotted by one of the great Colombian Salsa teachers who started off the Salsa craze in the mid 80s. Mr Cali himself, Cesar Rodriguez. Having learnt to Salsa and Merengue by Mr Cali, Felipe took no time to learn quick and then after a year and a half was learning and being taught how to teach Colombian Salsa. Even though Felipe was helping to teach at Copacabana he always had the mentality that whilst he was teaching, you never stop learning new things all the time. Which still to this day is one of the most important teaching aspecs that he always gets across to his students. But more importantly to himself. Having been teaching for 7 and half years in his spare time it is only now in 2010 that he become full time. He constantly updates his skills by regularly attending Salsa congresses ( workshops ) both in the UK and Europe. Apart from teaching Salsa he also teaches Bachata and Merengue. Which adds to the diversity of his classes and allows students to learn different dances through a variety of techniques. Felipe competed at the Official British Salsa Championships 2011
and won:
IDO BACHATA 2nd Place
IDO SALSA 3rd Place
AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS 4th Place
Felipe competed at the Official British Salsa Championships 2010

Most recently Coronation Street in where Haley learns to dance Salsa.
