Our customers had a great time at the School House, Lichfield this week. They enjoyed a delicious 3 Course festive lunch followed by a performance of a very talented Buddy Holly Act. Just superb 😃

We had a great time on Thursday, so good to get out the office and meet the lovely customers. A crisp morning where I headed around Holmfirth, Last of the Summer Wine' saw the iconic attractions such as Sid's Cafe, took in the famous steps that Nora Batty used to hit Compo with her brush and of course where Compo used to live in the program.

Afterwards I headed onto the Huntsman Inn to check the venue ready for our Turkey & Tinsel guests to arrive. They did lay the room out beautifully. Once the guests arrived they took their seats and enjoyed a delicious 3 Course festive lunch with an afternoon of entertainment with a fabulous singer!

A new venue for this year's Turkey & Tinsel day is the fabulous The School House, Lichfield that we will be visiting this December. A highly reviewed destination that provides high quality delicious lunches. We will dining in their opulent suite that will be festively dressed.

Performing will be a brilliant Buddy Holly tribute act that we have had on many occasions previously and feedback is always brilliant!

We have some lovely trips lined up for October. A new one for this year is our 'Autumn Tints' trip. It begins with a comfort break at what is described as 'the best motorway services in the UK', Tebay. You will be able to take in the idyllic surroundings, their farm shop and have some lunch that serves ' Real Homemade Food'.

Afterwards we will board the coach and take a journey through the hills of the Lake District and along the Ullswater Lake seeing the spectacular scenery with the changing colours of the Autumnal leaves. We will then stop in the quaint town of Ambleside for some free time before we head back 😀

A trip we are really looking forward to this month is to Skipton with a Cruise 😀 The day begins with some free to take in all that Skipton offers; the fabulous open air market, quaint stone buildings, the independent shops and wholesome eateries.

In the latter part of the afternoon we will board the canal cruiser and take a 1hr cruise through the waterways of Skipton. Seeing the sights, the picturesque scenery and hearing a fantastic recorded commentary from the comedian Dave Pikey. Tea/ Coffee & Biscuits accompany the cruise

We will be heading off to Guisborough & Whitby next week with our Leeds customers.

A new trip we are putting on this September is to Liverpool. It begins with a visit to the wonderful Albert Dock where you can take in the shopping, eateries and the attractions such as the many interesting museums.

The afternoon will then be spent on a 2 hour cruise in and around the docklands. Hear a fascinating commentary on the history whilst you dine on a delicious afternoon tea😀

We have some great trips coming up!!😀

One of our favorite's begins with a visit to Oswestry on Market Day where you browse the stalls in the open air market. Local artisans sell crafts, produce and much more. There are lots of independent shops to browse and lovely eateries to get a bite to eat.

Afterwards we head onto LLangollen where we will board a river cruiser and take a journey over the magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and along the canal. Such beautiful views.

What do we have planned for July?

Well we will be heading over to the very beautiful Hebden Bridge which has been described as one of the best UK towns. The fabulous outdoor market will also be on which sells a variety of local produce & gifts made by Artisans!😀

The Lake District will be on the trip schedule, we will be going to Windermere for the day where you can take in the many independent shops and the lake itself which has daily boat rides ⛴ to neighboring areas such as Ambleside.

The ancient city of York & the very picturesque Bakewell will be visited too!!

This April we will be travelling to the beautiful village of Castleton in Derbyshire where we will be dining at the Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn for a 2 Course Lunch followed by an afternoon of entertainment with a very talented Buddy Holly tribute act.

The scenery round these parts is simply stunning. The coach journey to get here is a trip in itself meandering through the roads of the picturesque Hope Valley.

Shrewsbury is such a great day out. There is so much to see & do. We have been taking groups to this Tudor town for many years. The beautiful listed buildings, the independent shops, art galleries & museum, indoor market hall make it such a fascinating place to visit. It has so much history.

We usually finish the day on a river cruise along the River Severn. This was a group that we took that thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Look out for next trips to Shrewsbury😀

One of our favourite trips that we will be adding to our trip itinerary is to the Welshpool & LLanfair steam train in Wales. The countryside around these parts is just spectacular!!😀

Our trips have come to an end now for 2023. We finished with some Turkey & Tinsel afternoons at the lovely Sheraton Hotel, Blackpool. Thank you to everyone that came on our trips this year!! We will be organising our new itinerary for 2024 shortly. Have a great Christmas & New Year
