Every time they go away, they get involved with all the lovely friends theyโ€™ve made over the years โ€ฆ when they found out about the Walk for Hope in aid of Cancer, they jumped at the chance and joined the staff (their friends) on this fundraising adventure โ€ฆ

What an incredible resort. With the stunning mountainous backdrop, this resort cascades down to the sea. The resort flows beautifully and feels more like a village. The photos really donโ€™t capture the backdrop๐ŸŒดโ›ฐ๏ธโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿคฉ

The locals are just fabulous โ€“ smiling and chatty and happy to help ๐Ÿคฉ

Iโ€™m also a sucker for a good sunset and facing West, this doesnโ€™t disappoint ๐ŸŒ…

This resort really is next level... Before we went, the price point worried me, but honestly, it is worth it. They really have nailed it. Padded sunbeds by 2 pools, Nice mesh sunbeds by other 2 and on Beach. Lovely Parasols, pool service, not a plastic sunbed in sight๐Ÿ˜Š

All the food/drinks were lovely and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Considering it had only been open 6 weeks, I was blown away...

Another thing I absolutely loved is the Overwater Chapel. It holds up to 60 people and is very private.. If you are thinking about a Destination wedding, I wouldnโ€™t hesitate to recommend here... The whole place just feels exclusive.

Arrival & Transfer
On arrival at the airport, we were through quite quickly. Bags collected, straight to the Sandals desk.. bags tagged and shown to our minibus. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived in darkness.

Transfer is around 45 mins. Roads are windy but not as bad a Saint Lucia. Driver took his time and made sure we were all comfortable. Even in the dark, you can see how stunning the island is with the mountains/rainforest.

Arrived at the hotel. Quick check in (checked in on app already) and straight to room - One Bedroom Butler Garden Suite โ€“ VH (2150).

Butler guests have the option of choosing a boat transfer on the Jilly Bean.. we did this on our return and itโ€™s a great way to end your holiday. It takes about 20 mins and then a 10 min road transfer to the airport.

Beach
There are 2 beaches... the main beach is a beautiful deep beach. This is public, but access to Buccament Bay is via a bridge to the right hand side of the beach. We didnโ€™t have anyone walking along trying to sell, so felt private. There is also a smaller beach to the left between the overwater chapel and overwater villas. This is more private. It wasnโ€™t in use as they were still building the overwater villas. Once they are finished this will have sunbeds and parasols and open to all guests.

The sea is calm with the lovely floating rings for chilling.

Watersports
Hobie Cats, Paddle boards, Kayaks (normal and clear ones !), Wakeboarding, Waterskiing and more !

The Dive/Snorkelling boats also go from the resort which is always a plus !

Pools
5 Pools (or 4 if you count the 2 tiered beachfront infinity pools as one) & 2 Swim ups. The main pool is stunning and when you walk through reception, this is a show stopper. It is very long with a great pool bar. Plenty of sunbeds and also lots of Cabanas which you can rent. Same for the pool in front of the Lady Palm buildings.

At the Parisol Beach Club there are 2 crescent shaped infinity pools overlooking the beach. These have the wow factor ! Especially at Sunset.

Rooms
There are 301 rooms .. Luxury and Club are in Lady Palm and Bamboo. Butler are low rise semi-detached bungalows. All gorgeous !!

Restaurants & Bars
11 Eating Outlets and 9 Bars !!
Whoever designed this resort really thought about it... There are 2 areas where the restaurants are;

The Plaza which is where most evening entertainment is. This is to the side of the main pool and has a lovely big โ€˜squareโ€™ with a covered outside bar, Buccan, Jerk Shack, Blum, Gatsu Gatsu & the Rum Bar (local Rum 84%).

The Cove which has Parisol Beach Club, Scrimshaw, Butches, Sora, Imoro (amazing Salad bowls in daytime), Isola (Pizza โ€“ they also do late night if you are peckish !!)& Crema (coffee and Ice Cream). Island routes and Loyalty are also in this area.

Entertainment
All the entertainment we had was fab โ€“ day and night.
For Butler guests, they also do a Sunset boat trip on the Jilly Bean from 4.30-6.30pm !

Overall, I highly recommend Sandals Saint Vincent. They have ramped things up a few notches and I canโ€™t wait to return....

Had a great flight with Virgin out of Heathrow with an 1 1/2 touchdown in Barbados. Flight was delayed and we arrived in Sain Vincent & the Grenadines around 6.30. Quickly through airport and into transfers and on our way. Took just under an hour. Roads quite windy and although dark, first impressions of island are clean and appears quite affluentโ€ฆas I say it was dark !

Arrived at hotel and quick check in. Room is a Garden Butler Suite with Patio Tub (piccies in comments).

Late dinner in Sora - Italian which was beautiful and service fabulousโ€ฆ

Weโ€™re here for Sandals Star Awards 2024 celebrating their top agents worldwide and entertainment tonight was on the beach !

Finally headed to bed at 23.30 after being up 25 hours ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

The last few days Iโ€™ve been a bit out of sorts .. My gorgeous daughter headed off to Bali for a month travelling with her friend ! Canguu to start with, then Gili M for a few nights and Gili T .. back to the mainland and heading to the uplands and then Nusa Lembongan, followed by last couple of nights and back to mamma !!!
