TOP TEN REASONS for choosing a Celebration of Marriage
No.5

Because Shropshire Ceresmonies are independent celebrants, there’s no restriction on the content of your ceremony. So if you’d like a Handfasting Ceremony based on old Celtic beliefs, include traditions from other religions, maybe have a hymn played or a prayer said – the answer is ‘Yes, you can!”

We have a wealth of knowledge of different wedding customs and symbolic ceremonies – and loads of ideas on how you can incorporate them into your own unique ceremony to create something really heartfelt and meaningful for the two of you.

And even though you may not be religious, including something that acknowledges the beliefs of others at your wedding is a very special touch, and it can be a lovely way to honour dear people no longer with us.

After hearing that one of this year's 'Best Men' had wings, thought it would be a good idea to get used to receiving wedding rings delivered by owl. Grateful thanks to the falconer from Hawkeye Falconry who gave lots of very helpful instruction at Fordhall Organic Spring Fair and very special thanks to Bubble for being so patient with a total novice ... and for helping fulfil a long held ambition for one Celebrant! 🙂🦉

TOP TEN REASONS for choosing a Celebration of Marriage
No.6

Most Brides only get to wear their wedding dress once. Having a Celebration Ceremony means you have to complete the legal bit separately – so, with a few little adjustments, you have the perfect opportunity to wear your dress TWICE!
(Thanks to Jess for this one!)

This time of year can be ‘downtime’ for lots of wedding related businesses. Not here at Shropshire Ceremonies HQ!
This is the time of year when all the hard work creating and writing ceremony scripts starts for the coming ‘Wedding Season’. Lots of meetings with lovely couples, getting to know them, hearing about their plans and talking over different ideas and suggestions to make their ceremony unique. Discovering stunning new venues and hours spent researching into history, literature, different cultures and beliefs. And then the fantastic part of turning it all into the most wonderful ceremonies possible! Love it!!

TOP TEN REASONS for choosing a Celebration of Marriage
No.7

We know weddings can be very expensive, that’s why we keep our prices as low as we can and offer the very best value for your money. Our main objective is to make your ceremony the best we possibly can – regardless of how long that takes, no cutting corners, no taking easy options. ‘Go the extra mile’; ‘Fantastic care and attention to detail’; ‘Way more than we expected’ – regular comments we get from couples we’ve worked with.

The promises you make in your ceremony are the most important words you will say - so don't just trust to luck! Make sure you put as much thought and love into your ceremony as all the other special things you're planning.

Remember, Marriage Vows are for life not just the day of the celebrations – spend your money where it will count.

Words are so important. For every ceremony created by Shropshire Ceremonies, every single word is written and thought about to make sure it says exactly what each couple wants.
To get a thank-you like this makes every single second spent getting it right worth it.

TOP TEN REASONS for choosing a Celebration of Marriage
No.8
Your ceremony will be at the heart of your wedding – not a formality you have to go through.
Don’t underestimate the importance of the ceremony and the effect it can have on your day.
A good ceremony can make everyone feel part of this special time you share. The right Celebrant can help set the tone for the whole day – whether that’s fun and relaxed, full of laughter and a party atmosphere or romantic and heartfelt.
Your ceremony should be the centrepiece of the celebrations and give your guests something to talk about long after your wedding has become a beautiful memory – so don’t settle for anything less.

TOP TEN REASONS for choosing a Celebration of Marriage ceremony -
No.9
You can have your ceremony in whatever venue you like - whether it's licensed for civil weddings ... or not!
You could have a wonderful Welly Wedding on a fabulous farm like Fordhall Organic Farm.
A very elegant occasion in a perfect walled garden, like Palms Hill Weddings & Events
How about a glamourous nightcub theme somewhere like Casey's Cordingley Hall ?
If you've always dreamt of a traditional style ceremony, there's even an unconsecrated village church you can hire.
Wherever you want your ceremony - we say 'Yes, you can!'

The first of our new Family Unity ceremonies took place recently. This lovely ceremony gives couples the chance to make personal promises to one another as well as make promises as parents, and can be a very special way to join together a step-family.
This family loved their day and said the ceremony was perfect. Their guests were so touched by how personal it was - which made it a very memorable and special day for all of us!

Handfasting is becoming a popular way for couples to make their vows. It’s an ancient Celtic marriage ritual which involves tying a cord around their joined hands as a symbolic way of representing their union as a married couple. It may well be where the expression ‘tying the knot’ came from!
If you’d like a Handfasting Ceremony, we can help with lots of ideas – or you could incorporate it into a more traditional ceremony. It can involve your friends and family or just be a way for the two of you to have a quiet moment to make your personal promises away from the excitement of the celebrations.

TOP TEN REASONS for choosing a Celebration of Marriage Ceremony - No.10
Your ceremony will last longer than the few short minutes a standard civil ceremony can take, giving you time to relax and enjoy it yourselves, your guests time to enjoy the venue you’ve spent so much time choosing – and your photographer to get perfect photographs of some beautiful moments like these. Huge thank you for sharing to Spinning Your Dreams Wedding Photography, Inspired Images Photography and Andy Li Photography - hope you like the extra time to get fab shots like these! Cx

Every ceremony begins with two people falling in love. Sometimes among all the planning for a wonderful celebration, making all the decisions on what colours, what table centres, who sits where, trying to forecast the weather and whether to have Pimms or prosecco ... sometimes the real reason for the whole day can get forgotten.
But sitting down with your celebrant and having to think about the words you will say, the promises you want to make for your future, brings it all back into focus - that it really is all about two people who love each other.

Phew! That was a busy weekend for Shropshire Ceremonies ... 1 Rehearsal, 1 Celebration of Marriage Ceremony, 2 Renewal of Vows Ceremonies, 2 Review Meetings and an Open Day! Loads of Happy People! Fabulous :)
