Monsal Trail and Hassop Station Cafe are just 6 miles from the Studio ☀️🚴 ☕️🚶🌷

Did you know there are over 200 miles of traffic free cycle trails to explore in Derbyshire? 🚲

The scenic Monsal Trail (pictured) runs for 8.5 miles from Bakewell to Chee Dale and crosses the spectacular Monsal Viaduct along the way 🌳

The scenic route follows a former railway line and offers easy cycling for all abilities with stunning views of Peak District countryside 🍃 It’s also accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs too!

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, you can enjoy refreshments and hire a bike at Hassop Station Cafe 🚴☕️

Plus, it’s easier than ever to access the trail using public transport on the Stagecoach Peak Sightseer bus service! 🚌

Beautiful Bakewell is only 5 miles away 🍀🥧😃

Have YOU ever tried Bakewell Pudding? 😋 This charming building is the home of the famous local delicacy that was accidentally created by a local cook in the 1800s! 🥄🥧

The Pudding was the result of a misunderstanding at a local inn, when visiting noblemen ordered a strawberry tart, but instead of stirring the egg mix into the pastry, the cook spread it on top of a layer of jam! The Pudding was so successful that it became legendary 👏

It was a pleasure to host such nature lovers 🥰 The garden is indeed heaving with wildlife. So many newts 🐉 and dragon flies, bees 🐝 and birds 🐦. Robins, Blackbirds and Blue T**s are very frequent visitors but we also have a visiting heron who likes to keep on eye on the pond!

A beautiful morning at Chatsworth house. We were very lucky with the weather ☀️🌷 only 5 miles from the studio. Magic… 💫 the Studio sleeps two. Sorry, no pets.
