After 4 fantastic years we're selling the beautiful Vestry.. We loved it when we lived there and we've loved sharing it with our family, friends and guests as a holiday home. We'll be sad to see it go, but this is the right time for us to move on to new exciting things! We're still welcoming our wonderful guests for a few months to come before we say goodbye ❤️

It’s beautiful weather in Matlock and we’ve been working on our planting in our little "snicket". Our outdoor area is a perfect quiet spot to sit out and relax and we love our twinkly lights! ✨🌻 🥂

We certainly love to help our guests celebrate special occasions! This weekends guests ordered balloons and they were not disappointed !

Thanks to Simply Perfect Events - Dronfield, Sheffield, Chesterfield for these amazing balloon masterpieces! Our guests were blown away!!

Of course, were not a party venue, no parties allowed, sorry! This was a small family celebration for 4 people and that's our maximum here at The Vestry but you can have as many balloons as you like! 🎈🎈🎈

Great news 👍

Bridge News in the heart of Matlock is the town's new visitor information point.

Owner of the Crown Square business Gary Twigg and his staff are on hand to offer advice to visitors - and there's plenty of free literature.

The free leaflets range from information about local attractions, cycling and places to visit in the Derbyshire Dales and the wider Peak District

Bridge News, a newsagent which features a coffee shop overlooking the River Derwent, also sells a range of Ordnance Survey maps for keen walkers and explorers.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Dales District Council, which is working in partnership with Bridge News, said: "We're delighted to have secured such a convenient location for this visitor information point and it's great news that Gary and his local staff are now offering a friendly and very useful service for visitors to the town."
