The White Horse that i showed you on my
last post/set of photos is often called
the Bratton White Horse aswell, as the village of Bratton & the White Horse are very close to each other ๐

Here is the Westbury White Horse carved
into the Wiltshire chalk hill.
Here in Wiltshire there was about 13 White Horses carved into the Wiltshire chalk hills but only 8 are visible to this day.
This Westbury White Horse also known as the Bratton White Horse was carved into the hill about 1778 but it thought that there was another much older horse carved into the hill before this one.
This horse has been cemented over to protect it & is painted over, every few years, when it starts to go gray lol
There are more dotted around the country but here in Wiltshire we have the most White Horses in any one county.
The oldest White Horse here in England is the Uffington White Horse which is just outside our county of Wiltshire & is believed to be about 800 years old ๐

This lovely round building was built in the 1600โs for the soul purpose of dry wool.
As my home town of Melksham was a wool town 100โs of years ago.
This lovely round building was never & has never been a house & it still stands proudly in our town of Melksham, Wiltshire, England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ

This induction video is from the World Famous village called Lacock here in Wiltshire, England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ ๐ฌ๐ง Lacock is the home of photography, as the very 1st ever Negative was invented by a man called Fox Talbot in Lacock Abbey back in 1835 . Lacock Abbey & the village of Lacock was also used in large parts of the World Famous Harry Potter films (movies) Lacock Abbey & the village of Lacock has also been used in many films (movies) & period drama's for TV. Wiltshire is a very historical county, many historical villages & towns & also historical sites like the World Famous Stonehenge & the Circle of Stones of Avebury. many of our villages here in Wiltshire dates back to & before the 10th Century. Stonehenge for example dates back to around 5,000 years ago . I will use Lacock as an example for you for daes. In the Domesday book about 1086 it is recorded a population of 160-190 people living in Lacock at that time . Lacock Abbey dates to the 12th Century Lacock Church, St Cyriac's Church dates back to the 1300's The old Tithe Barn also dates back to the 1300's . There 4 English Pubs in Lacock & 2 of them are extremely old. The George Inn dates back to 1361 & still is a Pub to this day. The Signe of Angel Pub dates back to the 15th Century .
