With an increase in long term contracts we are looking to expand our civils team to cover specifically Buckinghamshire, Surrey, and Hillingdon along with other surrounding counties / boroughs.

Job Description:-
As a Supervisor you will be responsible for planning and organising of resources including labour and plant to safely achieve maximum efficiency and output. You will have responsibility for ensuring the Health and Safety and quality standards of the company are met and clients expectations are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
• Direct individual foremen, planning future workload to meet the targets of the contract plan and monitoring production
• Day to day co-ordination and supervision of direct labour and sub-contractors
• Place timely and accurate orders for materials and plant to ensure efficient production balancing cost against client value and adherence to standards
• Management and allocation of resources including plant, equipment and vehicles
• Completing daily diaries and returning at the end of each visit.
Include copy of dims, supply problems and waiting time
• Report observations and near hits and assist with incident investigation and root cause analysis ensuring the corrective actions have been completed and closed out
• Complete a site-specific risk assessment and site packs ensuring that appropriate control measures can be implemented to complete the work safely
• Ensure that all plant checks are completed
• Deliver Toolbox Talk's and briefings
• Communicate daily with customer and Contract Management to ensure project is completed within timeline

Key Responsibilities
• Commercial lead on contracts (and projects)
• Understanding and communication of the commercial strategy across the contract
• Responsibility for the timely submission of applications for payments and invoices
• Maximising value entitlement under the contract
• Management of change control and valuation of change
• Preparation and agreement of new rates and prices (from first principles if required)

It is with great sadness that we wish to share the passing of one of our team; Cristian Wadman. Cristian sadly passed away on the morning of Friday 15th December.

Cristian was born on 4th November 1977 (46 Years Old) in Baia Mare, Romania. He Moved to the United Kingdom in the early 2000s searching for a better life and to start a family.

Cristian or known to others as Cristi, Pat, Patrick or Pauric had spent the past 12 years working at O'Hara Bros Surfacing Ltd as part of the well known and highly respected ‘Roby Brady gang’

He was an integral figure within the gang and multi talented with the ability to drive the Paver, Roller and JCB. He was also a competent Screwman and Rakehand. He was always willing to help anyone out and will now be a huge loss to our business, the gang and our foreman Roby.

With the financial burden this will leave his wife and 3 children at this very difficult and tragic time, a go fund me page has been set up.

-Auditing active sites to monitor and maintain Health & Safety standards

What a fantastic year so far.
Only recently announcing the award for the London Borough of Brent, we are pleased to report that we have been selected alongside BBLP and Eurovia to deliver the Highway Framework Lot 1 - Conventional Surfacing contract for Buckinghamshire Council that will run until March 2027.
This will cover carriageway inlay, overlay, reconstruction and strengthening/reinforcement.

In addition we have also been selected for Lot 3 - Minor Works.
This will incorporate the construction of capital funded maintenance schemes which includes
•Footways maintenance and improvement schemes
•Machine patching
•Highway drainage improvement schemes
•Civil engineering schemes.

Our Director of Operations Warren Perrin said, “I am so proud of the business and team. This is an important partnership and highlights the expansion desires we have inline with our long term plan. This is a great strategic win for our business. We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Highways Maintenance Contract for Brent Council to provide up to £45m of work in the borough.

Working in the North (Lot 1), we will be responsible for planned schemes and maintenance works. We have also been awarded the reactive and gully cleansing for both the North and South areas. The initial term will be for 7 years.

Our Managing Director Chris O’Hara said, “We’ve had a fantastic start to the New Year. A great strategic win for our business, and we look forward to working alongside the Council and the people of Brent, providing a sustainable service with economical benefits to the local community.
