AGADIR MOROCCO 🇲🇦
We didn’t do a huge amount in Agadir preferring to just chill but they do boast the only cable cars in Africa!
We really enjoyed the cable cars and the castle at the top. It cost 120MAD (£10) for a return ticket but you can walk up and down for free if you want to.
🙌🏻 Top Tip get a cab to the cable cars - we could not find them on foot. Any red cab will take you just flag one down.
Once at the top you can explore the site but there is no access inside the castle walls as it is now a cemetery. There are boards that explain the history of the site but we allowed one of the guides to show us round.
🙌🏻 Top Tip allow one of the guides to show you round, they are incredibly knowledgeable. You will have to tip them we gave 100MAD (£9) it was worth it!
Once back down using the cable cars we jumped in a cab to the largest Souk in Agadir.
Now, I didn’t like being shouted at and talked to by all the traders but the market was pretty amazing if you see past that. The smells of all spices and you could literally buy anything there including furniture! It’s well worth a visit just to experience it.
The rest of the week we spent by the pool or walking round the promenade to the marina. The beach is so clean and tidy it was a joy to be on. You could also ride a Camel on the beach if you wanted to.
All in all we had a fabulous week in Agadir and would highly recommend a trip there. It is a great alternative to Spain and especially fabulous for a relaxing week away with just the right amount of things to do to keep you for getting board.
