Here are a few pictures of our offcuts in treborth ,where Dan bristow is putting a few ideas together, ahead of the Chelsea flower show where he has designed a garden incorporating Anglesey limestone.which will be the first time our stone has featured at the show.
The way the stones are laid is similar to the way amlwch port was built.whis is said to have been built by miners from South Wales and Cornwall who came to mine the copper at parys mountain.

300 miliwn o flynyddoedd yn ôl roedd Ynys Môn ar waelod y môr, caledodd y calch a throi yn calchfaen. Weithiau roedd creaduriaid y môr yn marw ac yn cael eu caledu yn y graig hefyd a throi’n ffosiliaid. Dyma rhai enghreifftiau rydym wedi ffeindio.
1. Gastropodau
2. Brachiopodau
3 a 4. Chaetetid
5. Coral

300 million years ago Anglesey was under the sea, calceous deposits built up and hardened into limestone. Some animals died and fell to the ocean floor where they were hardened into fossils within the stone. Here are some examples we have found.

Heavy day in the quarry Friday ,lots of prime Anglesey limestone extracted .one block weighing in at 15 tons and 4-5 metres long .now well stocked up for a few months cutting.

After years using hydraulic breakers to extract walling stone we decided to try something new a few weeks ago. A controlled blast carried out by EPC-UK leaving 4000 tonnes of stone on the ground.
