“The Bakehouse Apartment is absolutely superb. We stayed in 5 nights in June 2021 and used it as a base to explore Northumbria. The location was great - Rothbury is a lovely town, within easy reach by car if all the major inland and seaside attractions in Northumbria. We particularly loved our day at Cragside Estate which is just outside the town.The apartment itself is outstanding - completely refurbished to a very high standard 3 years ago, it is very comfortable, spacious, clean and warm. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering and as the apartment sits above a bakery we were able to buy fresh bread, croissants and cakes every day. We we particularly impressed with the COVID-safety measures that have been implemented - the apartment was fully sanitised before and after our visit. The owner, Dan welcomed us with a loaf of freshly baked bread and milk. We would thoroughly recommend The Bakehouse Apartment and hope to return there again very soon”

Northumberland will be welcoming back world-class cyclists this September as The Tour Of Britain races through the west of the county during Stage Six of the prestigious bike race on 10 September 2021 📅

Entering Northumberland just south of Allenheads the cyclists will be pedalling through 64km of the 200km Stage within the county and exiting with an exciting sprint as they leave Prudhoe 🚴 💨 💨

The Safer Stays Principles

🧼Cleaned and sanitised: Using effective disinfectant for all surfaces and high touch areas.

📚Removal of non-essential items: Temporarily remove items which are more difficult to keep clean and hygienic but should not affect your stay.

🦠Managing and reporting cases: Government guidelines followed to report and manage any potential or confirmed infection cases.

🔑Safer check-in: The use of key safes through to distanced check-ins.

😷Social distancing: For shared facilities and areas where a lot of guests could be present at one time, signage on site and markers on the floor requiring guests to follow government guidelines with respect to social distancing whilst on holiday.
