Clare House holiday rental is taking a break at the moment. The lounge/diner has a woodburning stove for cosying up on chillier evenings.

Clare House forms part of the owners’ large Georgian house set in the peaceful estuary village of Landshipping. It is comfortably and stylishly furnished yet retains its original character with exposed stone walls, high ceilings and large sash style windows which offer beautiful rural views over the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Stairs lead up to the light and airy bedrooms with wooden floor

s and crisp linen. The front door opens out to a small, pretty and enclosed courtyard style garden - a sheltered spot to enjoy an alfresco meal. The perfect place to holiday and relax, the Cleddau estuary is within walking distance and teams with birds and other wildlife, and is popular with boating and kayaking enthusiasts. Clare House is conveniently located with a selecttion of beautiful sandy beaches within a short drive, as well as family activities like Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park , Manor House Wildlife Park and Heatherton Adventure Park. If shopping and sightseeing is more to your liking, visit Tenby, Saundersfoot, or Narberth, the "Chelsea of the West!" less that 20 minutes down the road. Visit Carew or Pembroke to view two staggeringly gorgeous Castles. There is so much to do in Pembrokeshire, you will wish you had booked for a fortnight

After over 10 years of welcoming guests we are going to be taking a break from our rental business. People and places to see which will be keeping us busy. ☺️

Have you tried making your own hummus? It’s so easy no additives or nasty stuff and plastic free.
Tin of chickpeas drained, tablespoon of tahini, lemon juice and loads of garlic to taste. You’ll never want to eat shop made again 😄

More harvest from the polytunnel here today. This time cape gooseberries lovely as they are but I also like to stew them a little and freeze for breakfast with yogurt and homemade granola 🤗

Did we say we were well stocked? ….. well we have even more stock after this latest batch all being made into roasted tomato sauce

Still harvesting and I have to say we are well stocked for tomatoes and tomatoes sauce for the winter 😬

Homegrown red cabbage and some apples from friends up the road have gone into our Christmas red cabbage. This is it mid way through but the colour intensifies as it cooks. The house smells so good ☺️ We also prefer it after it’s been in the freezer as the flavours seem to be so much better.
