Newtons Ladder Rigging expertise - design and installation, events, aerial performance Newtons Ladder are an aerial performance company. They set up the company in 2010.

Co- directors Colm Scott-Baird and Mona McCarthy have extensive experience in the arts and entertainment industry. Originally from Ireland this husband and wife duo are now based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Those who have experienced their shows have said:

They are very passionate about teaching aerial and love the connection they make with people through their classes and workshops.

'We have seen so many grow in confidence and self-belief from doing our workshops. We love to see our participants get the same joy and satisfaction from doing aerial as we do. Aerial is hard and requires determination but the rewards, when they come, are worthy of all the difficulty of getting there, often because of the difficulty of getting there.' We installed a Wall to Wall Truss and Pole away system. If your walls are suitable, this truss system is a great space-saving option that offers a sleek and clean aesthetic. Emma, the studio owner, has transformed this 200 year old Chapel in Yaxley into this stunning pole and aerial studio. A very warm and welcoming space with fantastic teachers.

This piece 'Flight of the Pipistrelles' by artist was on display in The Main Hall. The Hall is home to the largest winter bat roost in the UK, with at least 70 pipistrelle bats nesting in its stone walls. ⁠Images by: (C) National Trust Images/Bec Hughes, House of Hues .house.of.hues

Seaton Delaval Hall has a very interesting history of great theatricality, drama and mischief. Well worth visit for a great day out for all the family. ⁠

A tricky build that requires a multidisciplinary approach with rigging and rope access. A challenging roof to climb but expertly done by and with and Mona looking after everything on the ground.
