This is the closest beach to us and only a few minutes away. One of it's secrets are the muscle beds and very tasty they are as well :)

Dinas : Start walk at Layby at Grid ref 033 381 on A487 by Pen y foel. 7 3/4 mile.

Directions Take the footpath By the house towards Ford, Cross the ford , Dont get wet feet. At the road turn left. then turn right on to footpath to aber bach beach. Cross the beach and the follow the coast path, At the caravan site at Penrhyn . Shop here and nice ice cream. Go on coast path through site . The footpath is narrow here and climbs a steep hill onto national trust land, as the footpath turns right go straight on on to rough moorland. Follow the fence on your left around the moorland untill you come to a stile and gate at grid ref 982 380. Now turn left onto the road go down the hill . At the corner take bridle path right and cross over Cnwc y Meirch moor . There is a nice bench on the left for lunch. At junction turn Left, At the road turn LEFT. go down the hill and turn RIGHT onto lane to Trwrach farm. At the farm go straight on pass the first right , Go through the farm buildings on both sides at the last building and old caravan the footpath goes slightly RIGHT down a hill . Cross over the bridge. Climb the hill until you reach the road. at Pen y Foel and some cottages. Turn LEFT walk down the lane pasing 2 cottages, look out for a very small opening on your RIGHT between two Gardens. This is the footpath you want. Follow this footpath untill you reach a gate. Go through the gate keep straight on soon you will be back at the start.

Pembroke Castle is one such place and well worth a visit if you plan to spend some time in Pembrokeshire this summer.

The caravan may be out of commission this year (until I can sort out repairs or even a replacement) but the rest of Pembrokeshire in all its glory is still here :)

This is a great Walk which takes you through a pretty valley to a waterfall, then on to the coast path to see the ruined church at Cwm yr Eglws . From there to The pub at Pwllgwaredlod befor returning through Dinas village to the start. ................................

Starts at layby on the main A487 at grid ref 0182 3884................................................

Walk down to road towards Newport , Cross over a lane to your left and opposite the small church on your right , Turn LEFT over a stile.......................

Walk on though the valley keeping straight on untill you come to the Water fall........................ Keep LEFT at the waterfall and scamble through the undergrowth until you get to a footpath................ . Turn RIGHT and follow the path down to the Coast path........
At the coastpath turn LEFT. and walk on to Cwm yr Eglws. .............
At Gwm Eglws take the Valley path to Pwllgwaredelod ....................
From the pub Turn left on the Road then turn right up the steep steps onto the coast path. ..........................
At the top of the hill just befor the stile turn LEFT on the footpath. ....................
Follow to the road then turn RIGHT up the hill................... At the top of the hill take the left fork. Then within a few yards take another LEFT.. Then at the T junction turn RIGHT then almost straight away turn LEFT onto a Rough Lane........................
Follow the lane passed the caravan park then through some gates untill you reach the Road. .................TURN RIGHT follow the road to the main road . Turn RIGHT to your car.
