The COVID 19 crisis has placed Newquay Sports Centre under threat of closure, but the GOOD NEWS is that with the full support of Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), Cornwall Council and NQY
Sports Ltd, immediate action has been taken to maintain this key facility.

Today we are proud to announce the launch of NQY Sports Centre. Rebranded and reimagined for 2021. Reopening fully when current restrictions allow.

This is what we have planned for the next 12 Months:

💰Significant capital Investment
🛠Phased building renovation and refurbishment
💪 New 3000+ square foot gym space (coming Feb/March 21)
🏋️‍♂️All new Matrix Gym equipment (coming Feb/March 21)
👩‍💻Membership App and Dedicated Website
🔑Safeguarding employment for existing staff and creating even more jobs
🚴‍♀️ Brand new spin studio and spin bikes (coming March 12)
🎨 Full rebrand, signage installation and website
🏏All previous facilities and club use secured
🎇 Large community events all year (Fireworks and Euro 2021 Fan zone)
🌳Launch of survival school and outdoor learning program
🤝 Support for local clubs and groups who use the Centre
🏑 and a pledge to try and help Newquay Hockey Club find a home.

We cannot wait to share this wild ride with you.
So much effort and time has gone into saving the Centre and relaunching with great plans for 2021.

So, make it your “Sports and Leisure Centre” and help us to reinvigorate this fantastic community facility.
