One of the questions I always get asked is “when is the best time to book my holiday?”

The obvious answer is right now🤣

In all seriousness there are certain “rules” that apply when booking your holiday, to ensure you get the best deal.
Flights are generally released 11months in advance, so if you want to book for 1st August 2025 those flights will be readily available on 1st sept 2024 (and in some cases earlier depending on the airline/tour operator)

If you intend to take a Summer holiday to Europe, I would suggest approx 6-8months ahead, and for long haul flights 9-10months ahead (you don’t generally want to book as soon as the flights become available as prices may ‘settle down’ and reduce slightly after the first few weeks of being live)
Most holidays have a balance due date of 12weeks prior to travel, so always are this in mind when budgeting for your trip and planning your payment schedule. The earlier you book, the longer you have to pay it off. You also have the added bonus of having a lot more choice, as hotels will have more availability, or the particular room type you want won’t be sold out.

By using a travel agent you will be advised and helped with all of these things plus much more.
