This little building on the shores of Strangford lough had sat derelict for over 20 years. We (my husband and I) fell in love with it during lock-down, when we would walk past every day, imagining all the things and people the little building had seen.

We learnt it had been a petrol station then an antiques shop and tea room. We were fortunate enough to buy the old building and decided to renovate it into a little coffee shop by the lough.

After a lot of work renovating, ripping out floors, ceilings, walls and a (very) long wait from a government body to connect the building to the mains water, we are almost ready to open!

We can't wait to welcome you all soon!

The calm after the storm ⛈ …this sofa set was nearly out to sea last week but thanks to the swift action of our guests pulling it up under the porch, it is still in tact! Fear not, coffee on the terrace can be enjoyed once more! ☕️🙌🏻

Have you visited this beauty spot - Kearney Village?
This is a showpiece village carefully restored by the National Trust to give the authenticity of a traditional fishing village. The village lies three miles to the east of Portaferry, with views across to Scotland, the Isle of Man and the Mountains of Mourne.
A long narrow road through green, rounded drumlins takes visitors to the charming village, the eight-acre sandy beach of Knockinelder and a small pocket of saltmarsh.

Upcycle joy! 😍 We rescued this old cupboard from my precious in-laws house and gave it a new lease of life with a lick of paint and some wallpaper. I’m just so pleased with how it turned out, albeit not a professional job 🤪…just me let loose with a paintbrush!! 😂 I love the mix of old and new that helps give the house a little character 🙌🏻
