** 2 weeks to go to Lifeboat Day**
Don't forget to join us for Cromer RNLI Lifeboat Day on Sunday 4 August between 10am and 3pm.
Head on down to Cromer Pier and Promenade and see what amazing work the RNLI volunteers do and help us celebrate our 200th year of lifesaving!
Visit our 2 stations, see our boats, meet our volunteers and see dramatic rescue demonstrations by our crew and RNLI Lifeguards. Meet our station visits team and find out more about the amazing volunteers and our stations and lifeboats. Visit the Henry Blogg museum or our gift shop. And find out about our volunteering opportunities.
Children can meet Stormy Stan, or dress up in crew outfits, and for all ages have fun on a variety of stalls provided by our fundraising Guild.
You can also meet local HM Coastguard and National Coastwatch teams, listen to live music from the Shantymen, and attend our commemorative service with music from local brass band - I dunno - all in aid of the charity that saves at sea.
Our lifeboat stations will be open all day together with the Henry Blogg museum and souvenir shops and stalls along the promenade.
In addition:
10:00am - Sheringham Shantymen performing at the inshore lifeboat station at the bottom of Gangway
11:00am - lifeboat launches - both inshore D Class and Tamar all-weather lifeboat followed by lifeboat and lifeguard demonstrations.
2.00pm - Commemorative service with music from local brass band - I dunno led by Rev William Warren.
See you there!
Please note the above timings for launches and demonstrations are subject to change on the day, depending on weather and sea conditions.
