All going well, Cromer carnival week will run from Saturday 13th August to Friday 19th August, with Carnival Day being held on Wednesday 17th August 😊

We’re excited to share the news that the RAF Red Arrows will be joining us at Cromer carnival on carnival day - Wednesday 17th August 2022 (time to be confirmed)

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Cromer for Carnival this year.

We have joined the 'We're Good to Go' scheme run by Visit England. The scheme means that we are, "adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance, have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and checked that they have the required processes in place."

As you've probably heard holiday accommodation will be allowed to open again on the 4th July.

Looking at the Government's plan, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/our-plan-to-rebuild-the-uk-governments-covid-19-recovery-strategy/our-plan-to-rebuild-the-uk-governments-covid-19-recovery-strategy, the earliest we are likely to be able to open is the 4th July as part of Step 3, but that depends on how things go in the meantime.

We are taking bookings for later in the year and offering to transfer or refund deposits if a holiday needs to be cancelled because of Covid-19 (see https://theleasbeachpark.co.uk/covid.html)

To save people constantly checking for updates, I have added the option to register for an update email when I know we can open. It's on our web site on this page, https://theleasbeachpark.co.uk/register.html

Sadly we are still closed so I thought I'd just update our cancellation policy.

Our usual policy is to refund deposits for cancellations if we have two or more months notice. When we have less than two months notice, we refund deposits if we are able to re-book the holiday.

However, in the current situation, we can either hold your deposit for a future holiday (you can either book dates now or contact us later with dates) or refund the deposit for any 2020 holiday if it needs to be cancelled because of Covid-19. We will be contacting customers gradually for holidays that we have to cancel, but do feel free to contact us if you need to cancel before we reach you and let us know your preferred option.

I've posted a video of the sea to keep you going until we open again!

UPDATE 23/03/2020

Following the advice from government yesterday for people not to travel to holiday locations and to remain in their primary residence, we have decided to close until at least the 1st May, when we will review the situation. We apologise to any customers who were still hoping to visit but hope they will understand why we have reached this decision. We will be contacting customers who have bookings individually over the next week.

Covid-19 update

I have just added a Covid-19 FAQ page to our web site, https://www.theleasbeachpark.co.uk/covid.html which I'll keep updated, but I've copied the most common question and answer below:

What is your policy on refunds?

Our usual policy is to refund deposits for cancellations if we have two or more months notice and, when we have less than two months notice, we refund deposits if we are able to re-book the holiday.

In the current situation, ideally, we would like to refund deposits for all cancellations, but as a small business we would struggle to do this. Where possible we would prefer to transfer deposits to future holiday dates but understand that this is not always suitable, so a refund will always be an option for cancellations caused by Covid-19. If we hold a deposit, customers can either change their dates immediately, or get back in touch at a later date to book a holiday.
