I've spent the last two days packing orders, working on photoshoots and listing fresh stock for sale. So much to do and so little time. 🤍 Introduction for the newbies 🤍

Welcome to the wonderful world of Honey Picked Vintage. This is me, Toni, owner, driver, buyer, cleaner, curator, photographer, packer, dispatcher, marketer, researcher, bookkeeper, as well as mum to three little sprites, homeowner, wifey, cook, cleaner, taxi and general work horse. (The Christmas parties are a hoot). 😅

I started out around 13-14 years ago now after a career in web design, graphic design and marketing. My parents had worked their way up to being self employed and it's something I think deep down I knew I was destined for. I don't find many people my own age who are into vintage on my level but I'm an old soul and generally click well with older age groups. I'm quite introverted until you get to know me and discover I'm just a ditsy old lady trapped in a thirty something year old body.

These are a few of my favourite finds over the years. I do the odd bit of restoration, upholstery and sewing soft furnishings when time allows. I adore my job, it's my bit of independence where I can let my creativity flow and be in my own head space. I have a major weakness for cabbage rose florals, particularly Sanderson and the like. I own way too much fabric but we all have our faults! ;)

Every antique dealer knows the inevitable heartache you have when you buy what you love but then actually go on to style your products within your home for photoshoots. There's that voice in your heart telling you how perfect it looks but the voice in your head tells you you can't keep it all. This was one of those moments.

I'm one of those women who has a weakness for little drawers. They're so versatile and handy for all sorts of nicnacs to keep the place tidy whilst looking stylish. These ones in particular are just everything, they can be table top or easily changed to wall mounting with some brackets. Alas, they are for sale. I'm being well behaved (for once). Our gorgeous Walt is a little ray of sunshine every morning. He howls when he wakes (which sounds adorable) and daddy let's him out. He then darts upstairs to come say good morning to me which I just find adorable. Between him and our kids, it's just the best way to wake up for me and get cracking.

I went to bed last night with a migraine which has thankfully passed this morning as I have another photoshoot to get done. Yesterday was a long old day getting orders packed for dispatch so I'm taking things a bit slower this morning. Our children are all back to school today so being back to the normal routine can only be good whilst things are so busy. Have a great Tuesday all xx

Morning all, we've awoken to a sprinkling of snow which our little ones are excited about 🌨️ anyone else have any? Nice it's landed on a Sunday so we're able to enjoy it. (Followed by some warming hot chocolates!)

Meanwhile I'll be processing lots of gorgeous vintage textiles today 🌺 with brands like Sanderson, Laura Ashley, William Morris and more you'll not want to miss them!

A belated Happy New Year to you lovely bunch! I hope you all had a welcomed break with your families over Christmas and raised a glass to loved ones last and present. We hosted this year (twice!) and made some lovely memories. I was glad of a few days break in-between packing orders.
Please forgive my sporadic posts, finding regular time to keep up with social media marketing is near impossible at present. To say I've been inundated over the past couple of months would be an understatement. I'm so, so grateful for the support new and old, my business is the busiest it's ever been behind the scenes. I have stacks of gorgeous treasures lined up to process (which I've been working through day by day!) but all these items featured here have sold in the past month!! Two full days a week packing, the odd morning sourcing stock, the odd day cleaning and photographing new stock and the rest of the week is generally spent researching and listing items on eBay and the website into the early hours. Phew! When's the next holiday?!!

I do, I do! I do believe in fairies ❤️

I little passion of mine is all things mythical, fantasy and magical but particularly fairies. I've loved the idea of them since I was very little. Hearing stories of pixies and imps living at the bottom of my Grandparents garden in Penzance, Cornwall may have kick started it. ✨ I've grown up reading about Brian Froud's fae in Lady Cottington's squashed faerie books and the like. I've collected a wonderful variety of fairies, all of which are made by Dibro. I love them and cherish them all year round. After all, a fairy is not just for Christmas 🎄

I hope they bring you a bit of magic this Christmas and if you spot any on your travels, you know where I am. I'm always open to giving fairies a loving home xx

A huge thank you to all of you for supporting my little business this year. Every like, share, comment and purchase really makes a difference and I'm very grateful. 💕 Business is going well, even better than the year before so it's lovely to end the year on a high.

I still have stacks and stacks of stock tucked away ready to process in the New Year. All the pieces featured here are available, I'm working through listing them all if anyone wants my eBay link just pop me a DM. My last day is tomorrow for posting before I finish for Christmas.

In other news, I'm amidst a bathroom renovation at the moment so apologies for the radio silence! Every year we support our local farm by purchasing one of their beautiful Nordmann Christmas trees. 🌲 Our traditional themed decs are up! We have some precious ones still tucked up in the attic for when the kids are safely age appropriate 😆 this year we decided on reds and whites, some modern and some more sentimental. We love quirky, unusual decs which make us smile so we have whales and brussel sprouts in Christmas hats and various animals dotted about the house.
Christmas 2024 marks 3 years in this home, the first time we've had the fire on show, as we prefer traditional. Whilst we upgrade our bathroom we didn't have the money to replace the fire so we jazzed it up with a shelf and some rustic birch logs. I just need to sort some stockings to hang there. We're still waiting for our dream home to pop up on the market but making the best of this house in the meantime.

Honey Picked specialises in sourcing a varied mix of weathered and worn antiques, vintage collectibles and retro kitchenalia, as well as refurbishing and sympathetically restoring quality furniture pieces for you to enjoy for years to come. New stock arrives weekly so please contact me if you are searching for anything specific and I'll do my best to help source items for you. I have over ten years experience in dealing in antiques, furniture and homewares. This includes restoring, painting, upholstering and upcycling items so they can be put back to use. I sell an eclectic mix of items which I source myself from across the UK and from international dealers.

I have background experience in graphic & web design, marketing and upholstery. I have a passion for all things creative, design, crafts and hands on. I enjoy hunting trips near and far to source a variety of items from a mix of eras. I have a UK wide and international customer base which varies from private buyers to wedding and events hire, photographers, musicians, interior designers, retail outlets and the occasional celebrity.

Honey Picked Vintage is based in Hinckley, Leicestershire which is central to the Midlands, UK. I currently work from home but offer viewings by appointment as I predominantly sell online or at local fairs. I offer postage on most smaller items, for larger items such as furniture I offer collection or courier service (please see 'Postage').
