The Kiswah of the Ka’bah was changed earlier today.

The kiswa adorns the blessed Ka'bah Musharafah and has become one of its most distinguished features.

The blessed Ka'bah is adorning with a new cover (Kiswah) on Arafat Day, which began before Fajr prayers.

Some amazing facts:

➥ There are 47 pieces of Kiswa cloth around the Ka'bah;
➥ The length of each piece is 3.10 meters;
➥ Kiswa pieces are finished with silver and gold thread wire;
➥ These threads are imported on rollers from Germany, Switzerland, and Italy;
➥ The kiswa is the most expensive cloth in the world;
➥ It takes a full year to complete the entire kiswa covering;
➥ There is an entire team of tailors whose job it is to look after the kiswa throughout the year and around the clock;
➥ There are two tailors always on shift - ready for maintenance should it be required.
