Is there anything more romantic than a walk to a hidden cove? 💫

Scott's Bay, just a short half-mile walk around the headland from Llansteffan's main beach, is a secluded gem. With a charming castle perched above the beach, it’s the perfect spot for a picnic (or even a proposal! 💍). And when you’re done, head back to the car park for some delicious Fish & Chips served from Florries a cozy cabin—guaranteed to warm your cockles! 🐟🍟

Pro tip: Visit in the late afternoon during winter to catch a magical sunset. The wintry sun setting over the sea-fringed sands will take your breath away 🌅✨.

There are a number of wonderful coastal walks on offer around the imposing Norman castle ruins of Llansteffan, all with staggering views across Carmarthen Bay.

What a beautiful place to visit. Stunning walks, breathtaking views, a quaint little Chapel. Really something different. Well worth the visit.

St Govans Chapel, Pembrokeshire.

The majority of the chapel was built in the thirteenth century, although parts of it may date back further to the sixth century when Saint Govan, a monk, moved into a cave located on the site of the chapel

Built into the side of a limestone cliff, the building measures 20 by 12 feet (6.1 m × 3.7 m) with walls constructed from limestone and with views out to the sea

Wow, what a location, I think id have happily lived there with views like that 😍

Really is well worth a visit

Llansteffan is a beautiful unspoilt village. The stunning beach goes on forever. So so peaceful. A small playground for the younger family members.
Car park.
Florries ,that serve delicious chips and a large menu of extras to go with them.
An ice cream van,
A seaside cafe

A lovely walk over to scotts Bay is a must. You can go along the beach, through the woods or walk the road. It's stunning. So peaceful.

For the more energetic of you a walk up to the Norman castle is spectacular. The views are tremendous.

A walk through the village is highly recommended.

Enjoy a Day Out in the Charming Village of Llansteffan ✨

Just 8 miles southwest of Carmarthen, Llansteffan is the perfect spot for a relaxing day by the sea and exploring a historic castle.

Start your day on the golden sandy beach, great for enjoying a picnic, building sandcastles and finding seashells. It’s a family-friendly spot with shaded areas and a play park for the kids.

After some beach time, take a steady climb up the hill to Llansteffan Castle. While mostly in ruins, the castle’s remaining structure gives a glimpse of its past splendour. Built in the 12th century, though the site has been significant since the Iron Age.

The hilltop can only be reached on foot, but the climb is definitely worth it. You’ll be rewarded with breath-taking panoramic views where the River Tywi meets the sea, stretching over the estuary, Pembrey Forest, and the Gower.

Guided Tours & Historical Walks: Learn about Llansteffan’s history with local Llansteffan Heritage Walks

St clears is around a five mile drive away from Sunnybank. Its a lovely place to visit. Nice shops, butchers, places to have a bite to eat and drink, spar, cks and the co op.

Visitors to the town of St Clears, which lies in the southwestern corner of Carmarthenshire around 8 miles from Carmarthen itself will find a range of independent shops, places to eat as well as local pubs. The town is located on the Wales Coastal Path which makes it a popular stopping point between Llansteffan and Laugharne. A haven for food lovers so don’t leave without calling in at one of the many businesses
