The little hidden gem of Penmachno

The Eagles pub is just over the road, serving food in the evenings and is pet friendly 🍻

The Londis shop for any essentials 🍞

The village Church ⛪️

The villagers craft shop which sells handmade items made by locals inc knitted trinkets, jams, sewing, woodwork is also located just a few meters from the cottage 🍯

Just past the shop you will find a children's park/play area with football nets and loads of open space 🥅🛝

Gwydyr Stables is just down the road offering horse and pony rides and trekking 🐴

Ty Mawr a National Trust Historic 16th-century farmhouse and birthplace of William Morgan, the Bishop responsible for translating the Bible into Welsh. Here you will also find simple lawned garden with picnic benches, a stone footbridge and stream, with paths exploring part of the old drovers road. 🌳

Mountain bike trails on the HoneyBee Cottage door step!

The Penmachno trails are the hidden gem of North Wales. Very remote, natural feeling trails with spectacular views of Snowdonia.

There are two loops that can be ridden individually or as one long 30km loop. Dolen Machno is 19km and Dolen Eryri is 11km.

A stone’s throw from the A5 in Conwy, north Wales, lies the quaint, green village of Penmachno, renowned for its old woollen mill which weaved the Penmachno rug until the 1990s. But neighbouring the mill is a lesser-known gem described by visitors as the best thing they’ve seen in the whole region.

The Roman Bridge at Penmachno, naturally dressed in ivy with such beauty you might assume it’s a man-made feature, isn’t actually Roman. It dates back to the 17th century, though it is possible it stands on the site of an earlier Roman bridge. It is likely it got its moniker from a Roman road which once ran south to Tomen y Mur
