What a week you set of for some R&R only for poor kes to fall trip down a step and brake wrist.
I some how made it in time to Sheffield for the DL12 trial my god amazing.
Then Alex and Bex give us the news about baby so happy for them, then phone call kes you need surgery on Thursday we literally drop what we are doing ( bathroom renovation) catch a ferry on Wednesday, and telling hospital we will be there first thing Thursday morning we need to get home big storm.
Well here we are kes had surgery and all good but spending night in hospital .
we are here till Saturday no ferry tomorrow . And to top it off we had tried doing dry January, no that's not happening now.

We are getting lots of requests for both tours and for those asking about bus and ferries for the Craignure pickups. At the moment the summer timetable is not available till march but I have spoken with western motors ( bus) and we think there will be a bus from Tobermory to Craignure arriving about 9:00 ish.
And we will get you back for ferries or bus .

We have dates into September but will add some more for September into October.
We will start in Pennyghael but we intend on being able to pickup in Craignure to meet ferries. And this also lets you travel from Tobermory to Craignure by bus or under your own transport.
As we are getting lots of requests from people who don't have transport,

As we have a missing person on the Ross of mull I thought I'd have a ride up to gorrie,s leap . I will post the video of the waterfall so windy up there.
The views are just amazing. Lots of red dear , one male hen Harrie and I could see several eagles eating a dead deer and lots of crows too. We found this on way back and pip had run out of go so she was riding shotgun on the tank. So I couldn't get close to get any pictures and I definitely didn't want to disturb them probably a tad hungry after the snow and ice.

What a stunning morning had just watched 3 otters crossing the loch. As I got the photo I then came across this pool with the air leaking out, its quit common to see this as the tide comes in no doubt some one will have a name for it.

Wild mull tours are putting together some exciting tours this year, we are putting together tour with mull charters and wild mull tours . This will be a trip on the boat ( lady Jayne ) for 1/2 day and then a land based tour for 1/2 day.

Happy new year to all my customers this year and I look forward to showing new and old customers wild mull in 2025.
Huge thanks to all the people who have supported me through this year with the loss of my dad in October.
I ran my last trip today and we had the mist amazing day watching otters and we got to watch white tail eagles building there nest.

Sunday weather was quite something and I managed to get some atmosphere pictures there where times I could not open door. The water falls on the wilderness were incredible if you can see it looks like smoke reminds me of bushfires back in Australia. And in all that sea i managed to find one dog otter.

The weather has been crazy this weekend we did have a tour for Saturday but sadly the guests couldn't get her from Oban with all the cancellations of ferries.
We had some traffic trouble and then had a great walk on Friday morning before the storm hit.

What an amazing sky tonight, as I drove round the island today it's amazing just how much wildlife is out, otters seam to be found round every corner and deer just grazing next to road.

Salmon, on a walk recently we could see a lot of salmon in the pools , about 6lb 400 to 500 mm long.
It has been suggested they could be escaped farm fish as they were all the same size.

Peddlers pool walk ( ardura forest).
Some nice pictures of nature in winter.
Spent the morning watching some otters then tried to find some Goldie's well no every thing els from WT, harriers, but I think I found the reason I was watching the lads stalking so I recon they where eating the gralloch from the deer.

I stepped in for Blair today at mull charters today. fantastic day for Gausts . This is compo doing what he is renowned for by far my favorite eagle.

What a fantastic day helping out on mull charters today the best days weather we have had all year. Wild mull tours have plenty of spaces next week.

As we travel round mull we see the plantation forests. this last month I have been showing guests the machine cutting it down and today I managed to film them . I do have to explain this is not deforestation, this is plantation forests I think most of this timber is for paper, and we use that every day with our daily constitutions. Anthony fantastic tour today great crack with them .

After we did the change other it had finally stopped raining so we took the chance of walking to McKinnon cave. It’s a tad boggy I was getting quite a bit of resistance from the bride . Kes made it to the cliff top, as pip and I descended to the shore line. My timing was not perfect as tide was coming in fast but we made it.
