Welcome to Strathisla Farms which has been in the Ivory family since 1974. Set in 2000 acres of rolling farmland in the stunning Vale of Strathmore, our 4 beautifully renovated holiday cottages offer you the perfect ‘home from home’ experience from which to explore Scotland. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and make sure that our cottages are extremely well equipped and comfortable to ens

ure you have the most relaxing holiday possible. The setting is simply idyllic with wildlife all around and our herds of beef cattle peacefully grazing the surrounding fields. With so many wonderful tourist attractions within easy reach you can plan something different for each day knowing that when you return your cottage will be warm, cosy and inviting. Harvest 2024 is well underway, thank you to our son Jack for the photos, having finished school he is doing his first full harvest for us this summer carting grain. Long hours for all involved. Let’s hope the weather holds 🤞 ☀️ We are being treated to wonderful sunsets at the moment.

Imagine my surprise when a pheasant, who had been sitting in the middle of the track to Kingfisher cottage, stood up..she had been sitting on gorgeous little chicks warming them up! It took quite some time for them to get to the safety of the grass verge. I love that wildlife is all around us ❤️ 🐣

Super proud of Jack appearing in the Scotsman newspaper this weekend. Studying a BTEC in Countryside Management (A level equivalent) he presented a Dragons Den style pitch for his QuackerJack egg business. Lucky holiday makers and locals get to purchase these delicious eggs from his egg hut on the farm 🦆 🐓.

I know I am biased but I truly believe they are the tastiest eggs around. The birds live a wonderful free life within a safely fenced area of our garden, even roosting in trees at night if they fancy!

Beautiful moon last night above Kingfisher Cottage. Full moon tonight. I am always amazed by the sky at night on the farm. I never really noticed when I lived in a town and city. I could stare for hours, it makes you feel so small 🌟 🌙 Just take a moment tonight and look up…

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year 🥳I can’t say I braved a New Years Day swim like some of my friends but Chilli & Trio 🐾 certainly enjoyed theirs! Lunan Bay was stunning as the sun started to set on Day 1 of 2024, a perfect start to the year.

Thank you for your continued loyalty staying at the cottages. I love reading your comments in the visitor books and am thrilled so many of you return year after year ❤️
