Windmill Farm Caravan Park

Windmill Farm Caravan Park A small, quiet adults only campsite in the heart of Lincolnshire - Baston Fen. Open March to 31 Oct

Welcome to Windmill Farm Caravan Park (Now Adult Only)

Windmill Farm Caravan Park is situated in the heart of rural Lincolnshire. The unspoilt sanctuary provides a release from everyday stresses, perfect for UK caravan holidays. The site is located at the entrance to Baston Fen Nature Reserve and the MacMillan Walk, opening the door on Lincolnshire's beauty. Visitors may also find our site conven

ient as a centre-point to visit local towns of interest including Stamford, Rutland, Spalding, Peterborough and Bourne. The site currently offers 26 level pitches, some hard standing, with electric hook-up for 24 of those pitches. Water, waste and chemical disposal points are provided with additional water supplied on each EHU station. We have a male and female toilet and shower block, with outdoor washing-up facilities. If you are interested in fishing, the River Glen and Counter Drain bisect the farm and are within easy walking distance. The site also has a private fishing pond within 20 metres of the pitches. The site offers excellent security, with entrance and exit through an electric security barrier, operated by entering a security code. The site is completely free draining and not prone to standing water. Well behaved dogs are accepted and the farm offers miles of private traffic free walks.

As harvest comes to a close it is time to say thank you and for us to be thankful for our lovely customers for appreciating the farm and being totally great about the fact that harvest is a family affair and we are sometimes not as readily available as we usually strive to be ! Thank you šŸšœ ! Also a huge thank you to a few of our regulars who have helped welcoming people on site and sometimes supporting with a bit of maintenance šŸ˜€ . Things would definitely not go so smoothly without you. Thank you šŸ™

The old equipment purchased by J***y in the 70s is the simplest and most reliable on the farm. All comes out once a year and just starts up!

Harvest all complete on Windmill Farm for 2024! Now to start all over again!

Thank you Duncan Town for the photo! Fantastic looking ghost mirror carp caught on 25th August.

Sharing as very close to our park for those visiting us with a love for wildlife

Look at our new arrival at Willow Tree Fen! The first crane chick to be caught on camera this year, there are three more breeding pairs on the reserve so we hope to be able to share more exciting news and pictures soon. This one appears strong and healthy, and stands the best possible chance as an only child with two protective parents!

In the past few years, Willow Tree Fen's transformation from heavily farmed arable to undisturbed wetland nature reserve has made it a crane hotspot, with an astonishing 26 counted on site one day this spring.

Our fantastic Crane Watch volunteers are in the car park and viewing area from 9am to dusk most days to help visitors spot and identify the incredible variety of wildlife that can now be seen. Find directions and more at lincstrust.org.uk/get-involved/top-reserves/willow-tree-fen
