So this is going partly behind the tv and then off to one side... but I like the blue section at the end so much, I might extend it a little and include that in the design.

Ok, so we're a little (a lot!) behind schedule, but help me out here please.

Do you prefer the left where it's all blue or the right with the mix of pink and blue.
(Both colours are used throughout the cottage.)

The stairwell is blue too as are the spindles, but the staircase will be stained oak.

Two rooms decorated! The twin/double room and bathroom.

Just need the windows in, plumbing, lighting, carpets oh and furniture... we've got 4 weeks, it'll be fine 🙂 👍

It was a first for me on Sunday... decorating by phone torchlight! 🤣

That's the problem when there's no second fix electrics in and even more fun when your battery runs out and you have to climb down the ladder in the dark to get out. (No staircase in yet!)

I would have taken a photo but my battery ran out before I could.
Did manage to get a first coat of paint though in the twin room 😀

Now the fun begins 🤩
(Thank goodness I love decorating!!)
Mist coat on the plaster in the upstairs bathroom and the twin room today.
Hoping to put the final coat on Sunday so that the bathroom can start to go in on Monday.
Exciting!!! 😍

All that stone has been repurposed in the gabions at the back to create a wall and a seating area.

You can see a little of the lovely park behind and the big open space that will be he kitchen and chill out area, with lovely big bi-folds doors opening onto the rear garden 😍

The lovely thing about this cottage is the original stone walls. They're nearly a foot thick! We've tried to keep them where possible.

This wall has been cleaned up and is now ready for repointing.
Only 5 more to go! 🤪

First bedroom has been plastered!

This will host 2 singles that can zip together to make a king size bed depending on our guests requirements.

New windows should be going in next week. Exciting!! 🤩

Oooh Frenchic paint, how I love you! 😍

Kitchen cabinets are nearly all painted in Hornblower (the photo of the drawers shows the truer colour) with gold handles 🤩

I am having so much fun upcycling items using Frenchic paint. Chris is scared that if he stands still for too long I'll paint him!
