Polesworth Parish Council is opposed to the Borough Councils plan to dump thousands of homes in the village without any plan for real infrastructure improvements. Having said that, we recognise that the likelihood of this happening is high, and we therefore must plan for the future.

Polesworth Parish Council is helping the local community to develop a neighbourhood plan that will help shape the future development of the village, focusing not only on the large-scale development planned to the east but also other smaller scale developments and existing homes within the parish of Polesworth, which also includes Birchmoor and Warton.

The Neighbourhood Plan Working Group is a sub-group of the Council’s Planning and Development committee. It’s membership is made up of Councillors and the community. If you would like to get involved contact us at [email protected]

Polesworth’s landscape still retains this history along with the opportunity for a riverside rural escape into nature. Today, Polesworth is a thriving, friendly village with independent shops, local products, plenty going on and of course free parking! Why not explore Polesworth for yourself?
