This beautiful picture of whimbrel at Kintra was taken by - thank you! Whimbrel are called eun-Bealltainn in Gaelic - the 'bird of Beltane'. It's a perfect name for them given this is the time of year they pass through on their migration north. We're excited/air bhioran to see how our new Hebrideans are doing this lambing season at Kintra. They're lambing to a Beltex x Texel, and look at how white/geal the lambs are 😍. The Hebrideans are our most recent addition as we expand our conservation grazing - more to come soon!
We've had beautiful weather with clear skies the last few days. This picture was taken last night and shows the skies above Traigh cottage. If we've got our rionnagan/stars right, that's Orion's Belt/Crios an t-Sealgair above the cottage. We've got April availability 😍 🌝⭐️
Yesterday was definitely not a ciùin/calm day - it was gu math fiadhaich/pretty wild 🌊. Spectacular seas are guaranteed at Kintra - and we have availability in April. 💨 Dramatic weather a given.
It was a calm/ciùin day at Kintra today. That can't always be promised, but there is definitely a good chance of sìth agus fois/peace and rest. And it's never not beautiful 😍

Nach eil i àlainn? Isn't she cute? 😍 Calving is about to start at Kintra and this one made an early appearance. The Scottish Gaelic for calf is laogh, and there are lots of words for beautiful - we think she's glè bhoidheach.
Sun/grian and sand/gainmheach today at Kintra ☀️ (although it was a little bit 🥶/caran fuar). This is Port Alsaig & Na Dùintean, a few hundred metres from Kintra Beach Cottages.
