After the resounding success of the last course EMCS International are delighted to confirm dates for the next Superintendent Training Course, which will be held on the Isle of Man from Saturday 30 September to Sunday 8 October 2023.

This programme, which has no pre-requisite for attendance, attracts delegates working in every aspect of the marine industry.

The course is endorsed by IMarEST, the University College Isle of Man (formerly Isle of Man International Business School), the Isle of Man Ship Registry and EMCS International. Participants who complete the course also receive a certificate for 68 Continual Professional Development points.

Ramsey Shipping Services are looking for an experienced Engine Fitter, as well as a Workshop and Contracts Manager - please contact [email protected] for more information

CURRENT VACANCIES:

Workshop and Contracts Manager - We are looking for a fully qualified Marine Engineer with also has office experience. You would be responsible for running a small team of up to 10 men working on repairs to small boats and fishing vessels, as well as general engineering work for local customers. Ideally, you'd be hands on, so prepared to get involved in engineering jobs as and when required.

Engine fitter - We are also looking for an engine fitter who is experienced in working on smaller 4 stroke diesel engines on fishing boats as well as private and government owned vessels. Our ideal candidate would be also able to work on marine related equipment and have some welding fabrication experience.

EMCS are pleased to confirm that the dates for the next Superintendent Training Programme will be Saturday 2nd to Sunday 10th April 2022.

Delegates benefit from the the vast wealth of experience of a professional team of lecturers, having accumulated between them over 250 years’ experience in every aspect of the Shipping Industry.

This course is designed for newly appointed recruits to the position of Superintendent and seagoing Engineers and Deck Officers coming ashore. The training has evolved to provide an excellent foundation in all aspects of maritime operations.

Feedback from two (very happy) delegates:

Our dedicated Diving Division continues to meet the high expectations of our valued clients and have also been very privileged to welcome a number of new clients to our ever-expanding portfolio.

Up to the end of April EMCS have assisted vessel managers and owners with the following:

Hull Cleaning - 18 Vessels (so far...) - Typically includes also full vessel inspection, prop polish and cleaning of all areas of hull (as required)
Propeller Polish - 20 Vessels (so far...) - Typically with full vessel inspection and may be combined with localised cleaning of hull or appendages e.g. sea chest cleaning
Underwater Inspection (general “owners interest” type inspection) / Class Inspection (UWILD or other) (only) - 26 Vessels (so far...)
Other - 14 Vessels (so far...) -e.g. Blanking, underwater repairs etc

One of our long standing clients recently had this very positive feedback for our team...

“You did a hell of work, thanks for that. I did not expect you have such extensive worldwide contacts. Is there any place in the world where it is still not possible to order diving works from you. I really doubt it J”
