Review of Cunards newest ship Queen Anne. 4 night cruise to Rotterdam from Southampton. Cabin: 6128 Type: Princess Grill Suite With the grill suites you get early boarding and it only took about 30 minutes from dropping the bags off to getting on the ship. The suites are fabulous, comfy beds, a lounge area, 2 large TV's. The bathrooms are a good size with a lovely large shower. A lovely chilled bottle of bubbly was on the side to welcome us. The balcony was a good size with a covered roof for a bit of protection from the elements. One of the benefits of the Grill suites is a seperate dining area so we headed up for lunch. The dining room is beautiful and the food was stunning. The staff are so attentive and friendly. When you buy bottles of wine they will store it for you for the next meal. So much choice on the menu and it was all fabulous. You also get access to the Grills terrace a private space on the top deck. This has lots of comfortable seating and sunbeds, a bar and two large hot tubs. The tables have a "press for service" button so no need to move from your sunbed to get a drink. On sunny days they also bring round afternoon tea to you... Bliss! The ship is easy to get around (lifts can be a little slow during busy times) If you are a smoker there is only one smoking area which is right at the front of the ship. Lots of high end shops an art gallery and duty free. Pools: There are 2 main pool areas. One in the middle that has a retractable roof. This also has a big screen showing sporting events during the day and entertainment in the evening. The second is at the aft. Both aren't that big so limited sunbeds but there are plenty of spots around the ship. Dining: There are some lovely alternative dining restaurants also available for an extra charge. Aranya - Indian Sir Samuel's - Steak and seafood Aji Wa - Japanese Tramonto - Mediterranean Our friends went to Sir Samuel's and said it was fantastic. There is also a buffet area called the Artisa
