Our preference is for high quality small family run hotels and the Kasr El Kababba is just that.
Found in the High Atlas village of Skoura it is the perfect overnight on the route from Oaurzazet to the Merzouga desert.
The once family home is now a luxury guesthouse and with the owner still occupying a property on the premises it has kept its homely feel.
After being greeted with a traditional tea ceremony and shown around the grounds you are free to relax around the swimming pool before your home cooked meal.
With a daily menu you are free to choose your own meal time and have a dedicated waiter for your stay. The hotel are more than accommodating of children and will cook them a separate meal of pasta if they prefer.
We pride ourselves on sharing honest advice, giving genuine recommendations and seeking unique experiences.
It’s therefore so nice when we receive feedback like this one from Abbie at Made in the Shire that shows that her and her family have enjoyed working with us.
This year we booked our family getaway with @littlepeople.bigadventures . In the past we normally follow the same old TUI journey, where we browse and book. But we got bored of seeing the same kind of things, so we chatted to Laura (founder of Little People Big Adventures) who showed us some new ideas, making the booking process pretty exciting! ☀️
Not only does Laura book your entire trip, including car hire, transfers and even handles your online check-in, but she’s just a phone call, email or What’s App away to deal with any questions or niggles. 📞
Laura definitely got her fair share of questions/calls with us as we had the wildfire worries, delayed passport control etc, but she was extremely patient, informative and reassuring that we felt very grateful she was there! If we’d booked that through our usual TUI then there certainly would’ve been long customer service wait times, and no doubt many frustrating conversations. 🏝️
Whenever I tell friends about who we booked with, many expect the holiday to be more expensive. But it really wasn’t! We gave Laura a budget and certainly got what it was worth. 🌊
Thank you so much Laura, we had THE best time and have totally fallen in love with Crete. We’re already talking about where to explore next year!
Imagine falling asleep with the twinkle of stars overhead and the mesmerising sound of the African Bush below you.
Elewana Loisaba Starbeds are one of the most unique nights sleep you will ever have.
The ensuite Family Star Bed platform has two double beds pushed out onto two separate platforms extending from the room. Which is suitable for families with young children.
You are hosted at the the Star Beds by a team of traditional Samburu and Laikipiak Maasai warriors.

The Maldives is often thought of as a romantic honeymoon destination, however it is also very family friendly and offers an array of activities for even the littlest of adventurers.
The summer season of May to November is referred to as ‘Manta Ray and Whale Shark Season’. Whilst they are present all year round they are particularly abundant at this time of year.
Swimming with these gentle giants is a ‘bucket list’ experience for many and Six Senses Laamu is just one hotel where this is a possibility.
The seclusion of the property makes it really special, if you are travelling with children and the reef is accessible directly from the hotel beach and is teaming with marine life.
The resort is currently offering 30% off room rates on summer stays, complimentary half board plus 30% off return transfers.
To find out more about this and other offers in the Maldives please get in touch @littlepeople.bigadventures
We pride ourselves on balancing the itineraries we design with a good mix of activities to suit all members of the family.
We also know that a little downtime helps you to spend those precious moments together on holiday.
We love a deserted beach and had this beach to ourselves at the end of our recent trip to Sri Lanka.
There’s always time for the beach, who agrees?
Getting to see wildlife in their natural habitat is something that we should look to preserve for our future generations.
Choosing the right authentic African safari greatly contributes to the preservation of these animals and their habitats.
We would be happy to help you choose the right safari experience for you and your family

We make no secret of our love of Jordan for a great family holiday.
Wadi Rum is a great place to explore as part of any itinerary. Also known as the Valley of the Moon, it’s not hard to see how the vast desert got its name.
Camel trekking, running the sand dunes and a 4x4 jeep safari are just some of the ways to explore this beautiful and unique landscape.
You can explore the desert as a day trip from Aqaba or Petra, however a stay in one of the many bubble camps adds a unique element to the accommodation on your trip, especially combined with a trip into the desert to watch the sun go down. A truly magical experience.
The arrival into camp itself is an experience as you travel in by jeep. The igloo shaped rooms have private decking and a transparent cover to allow you the best view of the sky at night.
Our boys were amazed to see how many stars and planets they could pick out and just how dark it is when there is no light pollution.
There are an array of camps to chose from with differing levels of comfort and luxury.
We would be happy to suggest the one that best suits your needs.

We spent the day on the island of Comino, arriving early by boat to beat the crowds and grab a swim in the famous Blue Lagoon.
By late morning it is always very crowded and noisy so well worth the 30 minute hike across the island to the sandy beach of Santa Maria Bay.
It’s a peaceful retreat from the Blue Lagoon and perfect for safe family swimming but ensure you take lunch with you.
Have you been?
Brave Knights, grand masters, dungeons, fortresses, look outs and churches.
Mdina, the ancient capital of Malta has plenty to fire the imagination of young adventurers.
Be sure to head there in the early evening once the crowds have disappeared and then stroll the narrow streets and fortress walls at your leisure or even grab a horse and cart ride around the citadel before stopping for pasta in one of the quaint family welcoming restaurants.
Visit the interactive epic adventure museum The Knights of Malta for a great way to let the children get immersed in ‘Knight Life’
