Local residents have worked really hard to put this 'Party on the Pasture' together, to let everyone have a bit of fun, and they are donating any proceeds to the Institute's renovation fund, which is extremely generous of them and very much appreciated!! Contact Darren on the number on the poster, or pop into the Copper Kettle and have a chat to Sarah!😁😁🌟

Our Low Row Institute is 150 years old!
To celebrate this incredible milestone, there is an exhibition on display next weekend, (6th-7th July 10am to 4pm) detailing in great accuracy the history and social involvement of the Institute throughout its century and a half of existence.
There will be photographs detailing characters long past, and posters of the great events held in the area throughout this time. The great tithe map will also be on display, and photo CD's are also available that contain pictures of many of the houses in the Melbecks Area, and also pictorial records of what the area looked like many years ago.
Tea, Coffee, Cakes and refreshments will be available throughout the weekend, and Admission is FREE, so please come along and learn about a vital part of Swaledale history.

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder to everyone who paid the annual subscription fee of £120 into the 100club Lottery this time last year. It's that time again 😁and we sincerely hope that you will all stay with us, and contribute for another year of funding the Institute's renovation through the lottery club. 🙏
People can always make a standing order and contribute £10 monthly if they would prefer it, rather than the one off £120 payment? Just ask any committee member for details.
Payment must be received by 7th July to go forward into that month's draw.

We the committee would like to thank you all, for a year of wonderful support, help and friendship. We hope that you will agree that the old girl has come a long way in a year. Just to see so many groups using the hall on a regular basis is fantastic, and that's why we do it. Whilst we are renovating our building, we are also building our community. We've some way to go yet, but quotes for the next phase of works are all in, and we have applied for funding (so far) of £20,000+.
Phase2 is for the main hall renovation works. This will be a collaboration of trade services and local volunteers, helping us to reduce costs whilst involving the community directly with the renovation works.
So, we hope you will stay with us for the journey, and the Low Row Institute Committee would like to thank you all most sincerely for all the support you have given, and continue to give us.🤝🌟

Come along and see some of the unique gardens in Swaledale! Find out what grows (and what doesn't 😁) in the 13 very different Gardens opening to the public for the first time!
Tickets on the day at the Low Row Institute, where refreshments and toilet facilities will be available.
Tickets and maps £5 for adults, young children are free!
Please bring cash if you can, the Institute is currently unable to accept card payment.
All proceeds go to the Low Row Institute Renovation Fund and Sustainable Swaledale.
All visitors enter the gardens entirely at their own risk. No dogs allowed in the gardens.

Today at the Institute, we have received a fantastic donation of £1,000 from a local resident.
We are absolutely overjoyed to receive it, and cannot thank the person concerned enough.
It allows us to purchase the items we need at the end of Phase2 now, saving us on the cost of rising prices.
We can now purchase more disabled access equipment, new Fire Extinguishers, remote smoke alarm/CO and heat detection system plus a lot, lot more.
For us as a Committee working so hard for the renovation of our Community building, this is a massive vote of support for what everyone is doing. THANK YOU so very much!!🤝❤️🌟

It is a timely reminder of just how important our 100club is to the Low Row Institute's renovation and future.
You have provided all the new lighting, helped with the overrun cost on our roof Dormers, and are now contributing towards our Phase2 main hall development. Following the amazing donation towards our audio/video/hearing loop systems this morning, the 100club will be supporting that by raising £1,500 towards the remaining equipment. (Amp, Microphones, floorbox, speakers etc). Beyond this, our 100club will be assisting our grant applications in replacing our heating in the main hall, and the insulation and dry lining as well.
We really couldn't do it without you all. So, as we begin heading towards the first anniversary of the 100club in a few months time, we hope you'll continue supporting us for another year.
We will start to see some real changes to our hall following Phase2, so there are exciting times ahead for the old girl.
Please stay with us forthe journey, and if you haven't joined yet, please consider doing so, and you'll be able to say when Phase4 completes, "I helped to do that."
