🌍♻️ It's Recycle Week 2024: "Rescue Me!" ♻️🌍

This week, from 14th to 20th October, we’re joining to celebrate Recycle Week 2024. This year's theme is "Rescue Me," it’s all about rescuing recyclable items from the rubbish bin! 🗑️➡️♻️

Roughly 7 years ago, we determined that Barker Laundry and Dry Cleaning would become more environmentally conscious. We would start initiatives to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, we would reduce our use of plastic, we would recycle our hangers and make a greater effort to dispose of our waste more thoughtfully.

Since 2018 we have reduced our use of single-use plastic by 90%. We have invested in new technology to reduce our use of fuel oil and introduced an LED lighting infrastructure across all Barker branches.

💡 This week, we challenge you to recycle one extra item daily, whether it’s that cardboard box, plastic bottle, or newspaper you were about to toss. Every small step makes a big difference collectively.

We had a great night last night at the launch for Rugby Club, having had a lovely year last year meeting players and club members, we decided to continue our sponsorship of the club for another year and now have our logo on their community rugby shirts. Many thanks to Matthew Barker Barker Laundry & Dry Cleaning for the opportunity to join such a great club, who are doing fantastic work in the community.
