Auden is based in Higham Ferrers and you can visit the showroom, watch the team working on guitars in the workshop and try them out for yourself. At home, in the studio or on the road, your guitar travels with you on your journey in music. It has to look great, be reliable and be ready for you every time you take it from its case. But more than that – it has to feel right in your hands and project

a sound that comes from inside you. It’s a reflection of your moods and your feelings, a friend you turn to in the good times and the bad. Our journey in creating these guitars has taken us around the world, collecting as we travelled a team of exceptional craftsmen and the very best materials we could find. Luthiers from America, China and the UK take woods from around the world and electronics from Switzerland to produce outstanding guitars that are exceptional value. Our teams in the UK, Australia and New Zealand are proud to bring them to you. Auden guitars are built for your journey.

The Neo Bowman has a slim body, making it an easy guitar to snuggle up with.

The Neo Series are a lightweight range of guitars with a minimal, natural finish.

Each guitar in the range is built from hand-selected mahogany and cedar tone woods and set off with subtle maple and ebony detailing. The minimal finish on these guitars allows them to reverberate freely giving great volume and huge tonal range.

One of our longtime friends and Auden & Gordon Smith artists, Mike Peters of has an uphill battle fighting a rare form of cancer.

Mike was the very first person Doug spoke to when Auden Guitars was just a seed of an idea. Without Mike's support from day one, Auden Guitars likely wouldn't exist!

And he's now appealing all of us to become potential stem cell donors. Our Head Luthier, Ops Manager, and Doug are already on the list!

Below are excerpts from a BBC article published on 12th November:

Peters, from Denbighshire, established the Love Hope Strength Foundation in 2006 with his wife Jules, 57. They have two sons, aged 17 and 20.

It has launched a new campaign, One in a Million, to double the number of people signed up as potential stem cell donors having already encouraged 250,000 people to register.

Michael Gallagher, from the blood cancer charity DKMS which works in partnership with the foundation, added: "Currently, only 60% of patients will find a matching stem cell donor, making the need for new donors critical.

"We want to help people with blood cancer receive a stem cell transplant and have the best possible chance for a healthier future."

The full bass and sweet trebles of the Chester 000 are enhanced by perfect string balance and playability. The only thing you’ll find difficult with this guitar is putting it down.

The Bowman is our take on the classic orchestra model but it has been fine tuned with tapered sides to give this guitar plenty of front-end and presence.

This version features a shorter scale length of 632mm. The comfortable playing position of the Bowman makes this guitar a favourite acoustic choice for electric guitar players and gives the guitar a defined place in a band setting.

What do you think of this To***co Julia acoustic?

The open pore satin finish using minimal lacquer allows this guitar to sing and reverberate with a sound that’s much larger than its small body. A great songwriter’s guitar.

Rob from @according_to_brian_ and @vintageclassiccamera stopped in recently to pick up his 632 prototype guitar and blessed us with an impromptu kitchen jam. Rob suffers from arthritis so sadly he hasn't been playing very much, but the shorter scale length and slightly wider nut gives more space between the strings, which is more forgiving for fingers with less mobility. Smaller scale guitars also sound warmer and fuller than guitars with longer scales, as the lower tension allows their strings to vibrate more freely.
